Last week, Apple announced the 128GB version of the iPad 4, giving potential buyers four storage options to choose from. Now it lands on the online Philippine Apple store starting with a Php39k price tag.
The 128GB WiFi-only model gets priced at Php38,990 while the WiFi + Cellular model is priced at Php44,990. That’s a Php6,000 jump. US prices are cheaper though when converted to local currency, starting at $799 (Php32,500) for the WiFi-only model and $929 (Php37,800) for the WiFi + Cellular model.

Mr. Curious says:

Ralph says:

Ralph says:
IKR! haha lol :P
tinikling says:
naks naman, sa presyong yan pwde kanang maka bili ng laptop na pang gaming at photos/video editing pa, pero marami pa rin bibili yan, apple kasi hehehe
sungka says:
That’s because a lot of people are still idiots and will buy anything Apple sells just to look cool. If you’re smart, you know there are better alternatives than this overpriced bling.
meme says:
not really a portable storage. you can’t just plug it to a computer and copy all your files. can’t even play videos unless video is supported format. and it as always need iTunes to manage files. 32GB is more than enough 128 is ridiculous… this is not a MBA nor an Ultrabook PC to have that much space.
tarush says:
Yes, this is for photographers who always edit RAW files which reach up to 24 MB per photo
The iPad has become an essential gear among photographers
angrybird says:
Ano daw?
You say it’s for photographers who always edit RAW files and when asked how to do it, your response is you won’t be able to do it while you’re on the road? WTF
tarush says:
Simple…
because you won’t be able to do that while you’re on the road, and we’re not professional photographers, so buying a Cinema Display is not on our list of gears…
What the 128 GB variant do to us?
We will be able to watch the mkv movies, edit RAW photos on the road, post them on FB, play large file iPad HD games like the Need For Speed Most Wanted (670 MB), Tekken Vs. Street Fighter (567 MB), FIFA 13 (1.39 GB, NBA 2K13 (1.09 GB), etc.
tinikling says:
how to edit raw files in ipad4, install abobe lightroom 4 then use your arse to edit
Miss Call says:
But the iPad is marketed as a “consumption” device thus lending its appeal in the “Post PC Era”. Why would you want to edit RAW files in tablet then? Photographers would rather do that using an iMac coupled with a Cinema Display.
Tin says:
portable storage, but i think its good for only selected people
Geoff says:
This is great for some person, like photographers, massive movie on-goers, business like in a magazine company. Many great possibilty though not many can afford it but it has uses. Hope the battery is great or it has changed a bit.
booboo says:
That’s why some suspects iPad will be soon branded as the iPad Pro, where iPad Mini is compared to being the tablet version of Macbook Air.
Jay says:
Apple is just showing off. I don’t think they’re really expecting a lot of sales from this high capacity version. 128GB is a lot of storage!
Ryan says:
***No its not that big.
Ryan says:
Not its not that big. If you know how big those high end gaming apps.
dj says:
Mahal.
dookie says:
buy an ultrabook with that money…
lalaland says:
agree!! the pricing is so wrong! and iPad cant do what an ultrabook can do!!! you cannot use USB on an iPad! you cannot connect a printer on an iPad!!!
but iPad is a good device its just that apple is wrong on pricing it! its not a laptop for goodness sake!!! so its a big NO DEAL at price 40k!
leeto says:
nice idea.
