Western Union Quick Cash for Philippine AdSense Publishers

Looks like the beta stage for the Western Union AdSense payout has been completed and rolled out to everyone. The Western Union Quick Cash is now available for Philippine AdSense Publishers.

You can now receive payments for your AdSense account the next day payouts are approved. That’s much faster than getting it via regular mail (25 days) and even via DHL Secured Express Delivery (5 days). Selected Philippine Publishers have been using this delivery method for months now, under beta testing stage.

Your Western Union Quick Cash payment will be made in US dollars. However, at most Western Union Agent locations, you may have the option to receive your payment in your local currency. Conversion rates will be calculated according to the rate used by the Western Union Agent on the day you pick up your payment.

Western Union

If you would like to receive your earnings by Western Union Quick Cash, please complete the following steps:

1. Sign in to your account at www.google.com/adsense.
2. Visit the My Account tab.
3. Click the ‘edit’ link adjacent to the ‘Payment Details’ header.
4. Select the Western Union Quick Cash radio button.
5. Click ‘Continue’.
6. Click ‘Save Changes’ to save your payment type.

Please make sure that the name on your account exactly matches that on the government issued ID card that you will bring to pick up your Western Union Quick Cash payments. If you need to update your payee name in your account, please let us know and we will be happy to help you to do so.

This could finally be the answer to all those mysterious disappearances of AdSense cheques in the post office. Just hope the WU Exchange rates are better.

  23. JALANI C. MONTILA says:

hi.. if business ang account mo, d pwd sa western. need close ng adsense ang business account mo then sign up ka sa personal account.

    ganyan din nangyari sa akin.

  24. vhonne says:

  25. Macnerdz says:

  27. zylla3 says:

Wow…I’m getting excited finding all the links to Philippine websites. I guess, almost as excited when I first found Kirsty’s blog (linked from mine) where I realized the many ways of monitizing your website. I’m hoping to retire soon in the Philippines, and I’m glad to find some snippets of how this works from there. My husband has http://www.xzyllardrums.com and we’re just wondering how it would work from the Philippines. Just curious…is anyone there really earning more than $10,000 or even close to it? So far, in my recent bumming around the internet I found 2 legit $12,000/mo earners. It might take me another lifetime to get to this stage. Where was I then?

  28. infoguide2 says:

sakin Payment in Progress pa rin, first time ko ngayon sana yung WU. sakin naman normally every 1st of the month ko, nare-receive ang check. then after 3 days cleared na sya sa bangko. mukhang mas maganda pa yata yung sa cheke ha. hope to receive it soon.

  29. kalabaw says:

  30. Showbiz Intriga? Get It From Boy! says:

Bakit wala pa ring payment from WU?!Normally with DHL,i would get my check on the 29th!pero with WU,it only says payment in progress with no details since the 25th,dati sa DHL,24th lagi payment sent!

  31. ronald mojica says:

    adsph.com

You love google.com tapos Yahoo!!! hehehe…

i just change my payment option to WU Quick cash.
i love google for doing this. yahoo!!!
no need to deposit my checks on the bank and wait for 3days.

  33. Gail says:

Maganda nga sana, however adsense block my account. Question lang po, how come am still receiving email from google adsense, kahit na block nila account ko?

  34. ronald says:

  35. jay says:

true, not yet in saudi arabia. adsense earners in phil are now raving on this. weeeee!

  36. Dexter says:

Just for info.. It is not yet available in SAudi Arabia..

  37. blogOloco says:

@James – it would only do good for all the Filipinos in the Philippines. At least you have a choice.

  38. whatsuplb says:

This is great! Now, if only my blog can earn me the minimum payout amount…

  39. ed of SEMlaguna.com says:

all i can is YEHEY!!! bye bye DHL!!!

  40. Showbiz Intriga? Get It From Boy! says:

From what I’ve heard it seems that Western Union takes $15 for any payment below $3000, and $25 for payments that are greater than $3000.

Saka i don’t agree with google’s terms na kung kelan pinadala yung check, yung araw na yun din yung exchange rate, something like that…at least with WU, you have the option to WHEN to exchange it for the pesosesoses!

  41. otoy says:

reall.. free tlaga ang pag receive ng funds sa WU? but are they going to get some percentage of our earnings ba? or medyo slight mababa ang dollar exchange rate? i just switched from secured delivery to WU.

    :)

  42. Jeffrey says:

Yes, Paypal can now receive payments. I just tested it!

Goodbye Xoom, i didn’t like you anyway for canceling my money payments!

Abe, it’s time to blog about this for tomorrow’s issue.

  43. JC John SESE Cuneta says:

88 Days before Christmas. 8 do make miracles!
First, Western Union for Google AdSense payments, now, PayPal Receive & Withdraw.

  44. JC John SESE Cuneta says:

Confirmed. PayPal now allows us to receive payments, and Withdraw!!

  45. Abe Olandres says:

From experience, receiving funds from Western Union are free. This is because the sender pays all the charges. In this case, I’d assume Google had a nice agreement with WU for some discounted remittances. Big win for WU, IMO.

  46. ernesto says:

    is it free???

  47. jay says:

i was actually surprised with this, just when i got my pin, i found this info on my adsense account.

before getting the money, better ask some money exchanger of what’s their rate of USD vs PHP. then go to WU, if their rate is higher than the money changer, withdraw it in PHP. if not, withdraw it in USD, then rush to the money exchanger.

  48. Miguel says:

Yes, the Pinoy Google Economy indeed. I wonder how much foreign money we have flowing into the country thanks to Google!

  49. JC John SESE Cuneta says:

    Pinoy Google Economy – haha… nice :D

Same here, I’ll keep it in USD, online income is just a secondary source of income for me. My Day Job is still my primary.

Using it to save for the business I will start :)

  50. Miguel says:

This is great news – helps the Pinoy Google Economy.

For my personal use, I agree with Noemi – I’ll stick to USD deposits. Earning online is just side income for me, employment is still my main source of income. :)

  51. SELaplana says:

i will not use this at this time. just to wait for the reaction of some adsense publishers….

  52. boddah says:

free?! that’s good! sayang din yung $24 payment for the secured delivery checks eh.. hehe

  53. Ederic says:

Libre nga kaya ito? Sana nga. :)

  54. Joni says:

Coolness! I like this option! Thanks, Abe. :)

  55. feebles says:

    Hi Guys,

I just want to ask if i can deposit my check at any banks here in the phils?

Coz i’ve just received my cheque from revenuepilot…..and i don’t know where to claim it.

    Thanks!

  56. Kiven says:

hmmm maybe if the rates are better as BPI’s 3 day clearing is good enough for me.

  57. Eugene says:

This is really nice. And not a moment too soon if you know what I mean. :-)

  58. noemi says:

I still prefer the secure delivery over the Western Union. Deposit is safer and encourages savings.

  59. entrepreneur ideas says:

I think this is best option for now besides faster delivery compared to secured check delivery and you can have your earnings in dollars which you can convert to peso anytime if the peso vs. dollar conversion is good.

Did someone mention free service fee? now that’s even better!

  60. boy says:

why would you be so angry! do you earn 10k US? wow at that!

    how do you do it?

siguro naman ang exchange rate ng Western Union is competetive naman sa mga banks, or am i right?

can anyone research on this? what’s the exchange rate of western union for the philippines.

  61. unique says:

The maximum payment we can send for an individual payment is the following (US$10,000). If your payment exceeds this amount, it will be switched to Secured Check delivery.

    Tough luck! :(

  62. anton says:

wow!! finally! no need to wait for the 15 day clearing period of HSBC!!!

  63. JC John SESE Cuneta says:

    w00t! finally!!

  64. sylv3rblade says:

    WTF?!?! Free?!?!
    NICE!
