Globe now accepts iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

The wait is, almost, over. Globe Telecom has opened iPhone 4 pre-orders in the Philippines this early. Now you can reserve your own iPhone 4, both the black and white models.

Note: Correction. Turns out this is not a pre-order form but a form for those “interested in the iPhone 4”. Seems a bit too detailed for a newsletter (email would have sufficed right?) you’d easily mistake it for a reg form. The actual pre-order form has yet to be announced or put up. Will update once actual pre-orders are announced.

The Globe microsite did not say when the iPhone 4 will be available in the Philippines or what the price point will be.

You can sign up here to have your unit reserved — great for those who are in their retention/loyalty plans.

It’s also interesting to note that Globe is asking people who pre-order which carrier they are currently using. The telco must be expecting a lot of switchers because of the iPhone 4.

We still estimate the Apple iPhone 4 will officially be released in late September or early October. Here’s our closest guess on what the price of the iPhone 4 on Globe will be.

Pre-order na ba or “registration of interest” pa lang? :-)

Either way, there’s no harm in registering.

i saw the price of iphone 4 in ebuystore.com.ph for only 51,400 pesos. God so expensive…

Great news for my aunt. She has been dying to know when Globe would make take in orders or reservations for the iPhone 4. She already has the bumper case!

It’s not a pre-order, otherwise they would have mentioned the price already. They are just trying to get a feel for the demand.

at present im in d US and wil be back to the phil in 3 weeks. im buying this iphone 4 from a friend n plan to unlock. i hv a current smart line phone in the phil. if i cut/trim my sim card will it work? can i use iphone4 then? nid help plsss.

yep it will work but it would be much easier to get a microsim from Smart. You may use it if the iPhone is not locked to any telco like Globe or if its jailbroken.

It’s looking like more of a mailing list for updates rather than a pre-order site. I called in to Globe customer care as well and they’re telling me to register so I can have the latest updates.

GUys, Iphone4 is only 34k in HongKong and Singapore.. In Globe it will be double the price.. I also ask ambassador and the price is 60k.. Wew, mine will be delivered to Hong Kong on the 2nd week of September and will be here on 2nd or 3rd week of Sept..
