So the Apple iPhone 4 came to the shores of Singapore and Hong Kong yesterday, along with several other countries like Australia and Canada.
In Singapore, the starting price of the iPhone 4 16GB is SG$888 (around Php29,700USD 506INR 42,905EUR 482CNY 3,686) while the 32GB is SG$1048 (~Php35,100USD 598INR 50,705EUR 570CNY 4,356). All 3 telcos in Singapore (StarHub, M1 and SingTel) offered the iPhone 4 at varying price plans.
In Hong Kong, the iPhone 4 16GB is a bit cheaper at HK$4988 or about Php29,200USD 498INR 42,182EUR 474CNY 3,624 while the 32GB is HK$5,888 (or about Php34,500USD 588INR 49,839EUR 560CNY 4,281). These prices are the contract-free prices and are listed on the Apple Online Store.
If you’re too eager to get your hands won one, might as well book a flight to HK for Php3k and get one. However, there’s an ongoing 3-week shipping delay from the time you order it today. The white model is also nowhere to be found.
Of course, we also need to consider sales tax, shipping cost and customs fees if we want one shipped to the Philippines.
Updated: The Php24k price posted earlier was for the iPhone 3GS.

sir yuga wala bang magagamit na mail forwarder (yung trusted) from singapore like johnyair or usmail box? thanks

Unfortunately, both Hong Kong and Singapore Apple Online Store do not deliver outside of their respective countries. But there is always a walk around…:-)

What’s the update regarding the signal problem? I guess I’d just enjoy my 3GS for now.
Kinny says:
I refuse to buy this soon! I always jinx gadgets I buy. The month after I decide to get, prices always drop by at least 30% because a new one is about to be launched. Will wait for a 64GB iPhone.

im getting one this month….andthe signal problem – nothing to worry about

Stephen Fenech, reviewing the iPhone 4 for The Daily Telegraph in Australia:
I’ve been using the iPhone 4 for nearly a week to make calls, send and receive emails and surf the web from various places around the city and suburbs.
Is the antenna an issue? No it’s not. Have I dropped calls? No, I have not.
Have I noticed an impact on the device’s performance? No.
android_fanboi says:
just to make sure – this comes with a free case right?

junulrk says:
Sir yuga, for the pricing you mentioned I maybe wrong, but I think it is good only if you are resident of Hongkong or Singapore. I mean you must have a proof that you are a resident, otherwise Apple Shops in HK or Singapore would not allow you to purchase one. Im pointing that simply visiting HK or Singapore as tourist is not that easy to get an Iphone at Appple Store.. again Im not sure about it..
yesoj says:
sir abe, any word from globe to when they’re going to release it here? their pricing as well?? thanks.
Adrian says:
sold out agad iPhone and iPad dto sa SG. Two months pa daw yung dating ng bagong stock ng iPad. For iPhone hindi nila masabi.
arnold says:
@MarkAnt – some people are ordering online from both HK and SG Apple Online Store using Phil. CC and then having it shipped to friends who reside in those countries. Then arrange na lang to bring the phone here. Shipping of online orders takes 3 weeks.
Demetrio Cochon says:
@arnold – sir meron ka bang alam na mail forwarding like jony air para sa SG or HK wala kasi ako kakilala dun eh..
MArk says:
3 weeks waitlist onlline apple retail,
kelan naman kaya sila magbenta sa mga authorized retailer nila sa HK or SIngapore? haaaaaaaayyyyy
http://www.cnngo.com/hong-kong/hong-kong-singapore-sell-cheapest-unlocked-iphone-4-114266
cheapest sa HK at SG sabi CNN kaya fly na tayo kung available na wag lang tayo fly sa PAL wlang pilot, haha
clyde says:
@kinny – kahit gano ka katagal maghintay, the prices will remain for a whole year. ganyan ang pricing strategy ng apple. kahit one day na lang at lalabas na ung bagong version, the price will still be the same when it was launched so kung gusto mo then better get one na. i live here in singapore and yes, the deathgrip was proven here. talagang design flaw ng apple ang cause ng signal loss. the new iphone is pleasing to the eyes kasi refreshed ung design pero for me i would wait next year pa pag wala nang signal loss issue kasi i dont like calls that would suddenly be cut-off.
kwonggl says:
come on, use google and search for maildrop singapore and maybe you can find a firm that can provide you a singapore address.
Demetrio Cochon says:
@kwonggl – i think hindi kasi pwede basta kumuha ka ng kahit anong mail forwarder lang kasi nabasa ko yung restriction ng apple store kaya i was asking if they ever know something that is working since nakalagay sa apple store restriction na bawal ang mail forwarders eh.. anyway i already found a supplier those who want one baka makapagbenta ako :)

I’m from Kuwait. Apple Online Singapour don’t ship out of county. But I use a company called pomaildrop.com in singapour. They supply me with a Singapour addres for USD28 and charge a resonable handling fee and they ship my iPhone 4 and iPad to my county Kuwait. I pay Apple by bank transfer cause they don’t accept outside Singapour credit card. Very good service. Excuze my English couse still learning.
