If any of you have ever tried booking online for a domestic flight from Cebu Pacific, lucky you. I have been trying to get a reservation for plane tickets the whole day without success.
Cebu Pacific has this new e-Ticketing feature on their website which promises hassle-free traveling, or so they say.
Cebu Pacific now lets you fly without a paper ticket. When you buy a Cebu Pacific e-Ticket, we electronically store your ticket information in our computer system instead of issuing you a paper ticket, so you won’t need to worry about losing something that’s non-replaceable.
Scheduling was ok, filling up forms was a breeze but credit card payment was a pain. I always get an error page while my card is being processed. Now I don’t know if my card was already charged or not.
I called up their 24-hour call center but all I get is either a busy tone or a recording that recommends me getting my ticket thru their website. I got thru but the line was full of static noise the lady on the other end could not hear me. I thought it as just my landline so I tried using my mobile phone only to find out its their system that’s having problems.
P.S.
Imagine it’s cheaper to fly to Bacolod City and take another 1 hour boat ride to Iloilo than flying straight to Iloilo City. That’s almost 20% less off the bill.

I completely agree. It’s okay for economy airlines to cut out unnecessary items like baggage allowances, meals, and other services but please don’t try to save money on important features like the booking system which paying passengers rely on. Some airlines don’t even do proper maintenance or security screening. If you can’t get the booking system correct, can you really be trusted to operate aircraft? Cheap will only take you so far. Try selling your customers some peace of mind.

Experienced UNAUTHORIZED CANCELLATION OF BOOKING for THREE freaking times!!!!
I booked a roundway ticket for Manila-Saigon-Manila last April 2010 so I could avail the special promo. I got the confirmation receipt and felt very excited. After a week, May 2, I got another itinerary receipt stating that I cancelled my Manila-Saigon flight, leaving me with my Saigon-Manila flight. It was a long useless argument with a customer agent. So i decided to purchase another ticket (have to pay higher for the fare). On May 18, I received an email again stating that I cancelled what I booked on May 2. I got very upset. I realized its costing me lots of money. I was able to reach the guest service manager and settle it through giving my ticket back plus a travel fund valid within 90days. And so I thought everything is ok… until yesterday, I received a phone call informing me that I cancelled my Saigon-Manila booking. haaaaaaaaaaaayy… this is really crazy!!!! they even insisted that maybe someone has an access on my email. But if that’s the case, then why is my other booking (like hotel booking etc) NOT troubled?
And why notify me three weeks before my tour? and a month past after the cancellation has been done?

go for pal or zest air. i never had a good experience with cebu pacific. a few years ago, the plane took off and the overhead panel dropped. when the stewardess attended to me, she fixed it the old-fashioned way by pushing it back. no explanation at all. worst, when the plane landed, i was already half-reclining on my seat because the overhead panel was an inch away from my face.
as we were leaving the plane, i pointed it out to the stewardess who said…”ahh, thank you for flying cebu pacific mam”
since then, i felt jinxed with cebu pacific. they don’t allow carts inside the pre-departure louge area and i had to walk with a heavy fragile hand-carried stuff all the way to gate 100-something!
just a while ago, while trying to book online – i didnt get a confirmation receipt after i have given all my credit card details! and their hotline personnel (who must be a call center agent with a long spiel) told me i should check with my bank…i know that…but it still meant my booking was zilch!
i take cebu pacific only when my schedule forces me to, otherwise, it’s pal or zestair for me.

I have had problems for 2 years trying to book online. Only once has it worked at all. I even put a travel notice on my credit card and notify them that I will be buying foreign tickets.
CP takes all information including my credit card number and security code. The web site says “pending” for the purchase, then I never hear another thing from them. I guess it’s still pending for 3 days. I think it has gone into a black hole.
Now i think this is intentional on the side of CP. They force you to phone their appallingly bad call center, THEN THEY CHARGE MORE THAN THE POSTED ONLINE PRICES, not to mention the long distance charges and poor phone connections. Fuck them!

No way I am taking or even suggesting anybody to fly Cebu Pacific. This is the most irresponsible airline I’ve ever experienced. I bought my sister a ticket on Sep. 4, 2009 for Dec. 18, 2009 flying from Taipei to Manila to Cebu. At this very moment, my sister is in Taipei airport arguing. They did not have her booking because according to them they changed their schedule. Neither me nor my sister received any notification of such change. Taipei check-in counter managed to give her a seat for 1:25am Taipei to Manila, but they can’t do anything for the Manila to Cebu. Now my brother is at their ticketing office. What’s the use of cheap fare if they don’t even have the decency to notify paid passengers of the change. Will consult my lawyer first thing on Monday.

and e-ticket means you dont need anything (book online, then you can fly)…i never print out my tickets and if (only in asia) you need a ticket to enter the airport i say to the security thats called ticketless flying…and they ask at check in, so i can go in 2 minutes later…
in civilised coutries you can enter the airport whenever you wish ;)

Yet another person here with the same issues. We have been trying to book online for weeks seeing the price go from 1000 pesos to over 4000. We also received the credit card error as we are trying to book from the US. We tried over many days and finally connected with the call center- it was great to have someone say they will take our visa card over the phone but it might charge the card but the ticket potentially would not be issued. No thanks… PAL is still be best as you know what you are getting. too bad they only fly 1 time a day to our location or i would fly them every time.
Can someone tell me exactly what e-ticket means for Cebu Pacific? It almost sounds like they send me a ticket via email but I still have to confirm it at the desk. Unless it is a paper ticket; I have had issues even getting through security on international flights even. Some of these little issues would really make the philippines a much better place to visit as i love it; but it is a nightmare dealing with all of the terrible systems and corrupt people. Such is life but it seems everything breaks on purpose but giving them a little cash seems to fix the problem right away. Interesting business practices…

The pilots and planes are very good, it’s the admin that is so appallingly bad. The last time I flew Cebu Pacific was from Manila to Davao. My flight was delayed (no surprise) but the airline didn’t even tell the pilots and crew who turned up to fly a plane that didn’t arrive for another six hours! If anyone knows the email address for any contact people please share them. Nothing is published on their website, no doubt to ensure that senior management are not made aware of how badly run the airline actually is.

In Singapore, it’s a regular experience for Cebu Pacific to refuse eTickets because their computer system shows that they haven’t been paid for. Every night, there will be 1-5 girls (normally girls) who can’t fly because of this. Of course, nobody will take responsibility and there are no contact numbers or email addresses for responsible people within the organisation- they’re obviously aware of the problems and simply avoid contact! I think it is probably the worst managed airline in the world from an admin perspective but they have good pilots and new planes so at least they’re safe. However, they really are a national disgrace and reinforce the inaccurate stereotype that nothing is well-organised in the Philippines.

They overbook their flights incredibly and they send home everyone else without flying and without their money (with all kind of different excuses).
Want to play roulette book with them. Otherwise especially for long weekends and your deserve holidays use a proper airline.
This is just a scam.
I had a Confirmed ticket Singapore – Manila – Cebu and they sold it to someone else.
It can happen to you and you will lose hotel, visa ticket etc.
Then you’ll remember about this message (or you will find it later) angry like me.
Avoid this airline at all costs.

i bought a ticket in june. my creditcardcompany paid them immediately. but cebupacific still said, the CC is delined, which is 100% not true. so i wrote them (with copy of my creditcardcompany statement) around 10 mails. but so far, they did not answer. i tried to call them, no chance to get through. i tried many mails direct via their website, but no answer too.
so, my flight is confirmed, but – according to CebuPacific – its declined. i guess, when i want to fly, they just dont let me fly.
2 month no answer. its not right what they do with their customers….

Well, I read these comments one year later, and nothing has changed at Cebu Pacific. They did the same thing to me. The amounts have been debited to my credit card, which I will have to pay, but my ticket has been cancelled because “they could not autheticate my credit card”. The customer service and telephonbe reservations still work in the same way, I’m put on hold and 10 minutes later it disconnects. I wish I had read these reviews before I booked with Cebuy Pacific. It cost me dearly, but I learned the lesson not to try to use Cebu Pacific ever again.

I want to share our really bad experience with Cebu Pacific….
March 22, 2008 (HK-Manila flight) while we were checking-in our baggages, the Cantonese check-in personnel of Cebu Pacific suddenly tell us that we should pay HKD1563.00 (1-way) fare for our 2 year old daughter. HKD 1563.00 is the rate of Cebu Pacific if you get your ticket in HK airport, rate is same for child and adult. They are asking us to pay the fare because we booked our daughter as an infant and now, 5 days after her birthday, she is already 2 years old. According to the Filipina who seems to be the station manager (Liza Anarete – if I spelled her name right), 1 day or 5 day is just the same, my daughter is still considered a child and not an infant.
Apparently, Cebu Pacific’s online booking system has a problem, they calculate the passenger’s age based on the booking date and not on the flight date. When my wife booked our ticket a few months ago, the system wont accept my daughter as a child and only accepted her as an infant which means fare is free. When we left Manila last March 19, we were not asked by check-in personnel to pay for my daughter’s fare.
I tried to explain all these but to no avail, worse the Cantonese check-in guy, plus an Indian and the station manager told us we better leave our daughter or cancel our ticket if we cannot pay. They even threatened us by trying to cancel our ticket if we don’t pay immediately.
Obviously I paid for the fare since I don’t have any choice, all flights to Manila are fully booked during that night.
Yesterday when we tried Cebu Pacific’s online booking system, the problem is already fixed. I guess they learned about this problem way before and my daughter’s name was actually marked so we will be asked to pay for the fare before we go back to Manila.

TO CEBU PACIFIC:
Where is the “excellent†customer service there? I had to spend a couple of hours staring at the computer screen and had several attempts to book a flight but all it gives you is an error message at the end. Geez!
To top it all off, I would already call it a miracle if my call to your call center gets answered within at least 30 minutes by a HUMAN. And as for that HUMAN, I have never encountered any customer service agents as rude and as ill-mannered as the ones in CP. Talk about finally heaving a sigh of relief coz my call has already been answered only to be put on hold again for like eternity.
I had a bad experience before with CP. Imagine, I was scheduled for a 5:45pm flight from Cebu to Manila last July 2007. With a 1year old toddler in tow, we waited for like 4hours more coz our flight was delayed. My daughter and I were supposed to take that 5:45 flight for Manila coz we had to bid goodbye to my husband (a seafarer) who was in Manila at that time and was already bound to take an international flight the next day to catch up on his vessel. A toddler that was already getting irritated by the minute and a mom who was just fuming mad as the clock slowly ticked by were only given a Jollibee meal for dinner and no explanations whatsoever why our flight was SOOO delayed. Well, at least the free COKE appeased my daughter for awhile…geeez! We were only able to depart at around quarter to 10 in the evening. We would have wanted to spend more family time before he departs for work for another 6months. But nooo…CP’s fucked up “on-time†schedules ripped us all…

I am just as pissed as all of the guys who left their comments here. Yesterday, I booked a flight for next week via Cebu Pacific’s online booking. I guess their system still has its glitches. Yep, everything was a breeze from the start but when I got to the last part for payment, my card was also denied. So, I then tried calling their call center and after several attempts, I was finally able to talk to one of their customer service reps. She assured me that my card wasn’t charged for the online booking that I made. Hmmm…well let’s just see about that then…I then proceeded to book and pay the transaction via phone which I find weird because you’re giving out all personal card info to someone you don’t even know. I was wondering of the possibility that the agent might use that info for her own. I’m keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Anyways, kept waiting for an e-mail but up until today, I still haven’t received any. And so, I had to push some buttons AGAIN and wait for some miracle to happen that I might be able to get thru immediately their VERY busy line. Up until now, I’m still waiting for someone tp pick up the other end. Hmmm…might as well get some sleep first…

I called the call center, but kept getting a busy signal. I hope they didn’t charge my credit card. I’ll try PAL instead and will avoid Cebu Pacific in the future.

I have never in my time booking ticket on the net come across such BAD, BAD service that Cebu Pacific has. I wasted several hours trying to book a flight from HK to Manila but my cards could not be processed. I hope my cards were not charged despite assurance from the call center in Cebu by a lady who I am not sure knows what is she talking about as she told me it is OK to book on line after I phoned them.
In short I wonder if there are any passengers flying on Cebu pacific flights, especially internationally. Shame on you CebuPacific, you give Cebu and the Philippines a bad name.

Have fun booking online with Cebu Pacific. The time I used it the site looked pretty slick and actually worked, citing a reasonably priced fare from Manila to Tagbilaran of P688 plus taxes. All was good until the Pay Online stage. It wouldn’t process either my perfectly good Mastercard or Visa despite numerous attempts. Instead it cited a Booking Failure stating “Sorry, we are unable to get a timely response from the payment gateway. Please contact our Call Center. . . Our agents will advise you on how to continue with your booking. . .†I promptly called the Call Center. After a long wait I got an operator whose help on my booking amounted to offering a ticket on the requested flight for approximately P1000 more than the price I had tried to book online. Upon asking her why the higher price, she responded saying prices go up right after booking failures. I checked the price again online. The price was still the original online price I had cited her. I asked to speak to her supervisor for an explanation. I waited 15 to 20 minutes until the phone went dead. Talk about classy customer service, not to speak of lying to potential customers about ticket prices! The impression I am left with is Cebu Pacific is in the current practice of denying online purchases in an attempt to manipulate prices based on demand. My suggestion? Clean up your act and deliver your promises, Cebu Pacific, or lose a host of customers to your better serving competitors.

Booked a few tickets this day,a few times said an error occured,Phoned the call center,assured me that the transaction was not completed. So went ahead and re book. Surprise…arrived with my bank statement charged PHP 4,002 and no ticket,no booking no.Made more calls to there call center,send e-mail if they could enlighten me what the charges is for but so far no reply.

cebu pacific is very updated in taking money from customers and worst service I ever had in my life.They are taking money from accounts eg.e-ticket but not giving the required service in return.I myself was refused to board and required to wait for more than 3 hours with no result in fact I had my detailed transaction presented to the counter.I was made to pay for rebooking for another day but no choice the trip was urgent,i had to fly that day so cebupacific made me purchase for another ticket.Very unfair.full of hassles.so traumatic to be with cebupacific.

I used my debit card to book a returned ticket for my husband Gilbert Fuertes from from Davao to Cebu transaction NLK73.The amount of 3097.92 was deducted from account but he was refused to board because according to the counter the transaction was not approved.A detailed transaction report was presented during the check-in but still he was refused to board.This is very frustrating and dissapointing.Very inconvenient.Loosing money for waste.

were you using a valid credit card or one of those debit cards that “kinds of works like a credit card”, i dont know the exact term. anyway, processing errors would really occur if there is something wrong with the card in the first place. amount charged may be more than what the bank would allow, number of transactions per day could have gone over the limit, etc…
i think e-tickets would be beneficial in the long run. if only the system could be perfected, think of the number of trees we can save.

Cebu pacific really sucks! I thought , I was very lucky enough that I availed their promo fares almost 50%. My booking is confirmed and i received an email for my e-ticket. I used my credit card as mode of payment. Then, a day later, i received a text message from cebu pacific (2327) stating that in my transaction there was an irregularity. they asked me to call their call center, so i called them up… so i will know the reason why there is some irregularity… they told me that during my booking day their server occured an error as a result, i have a balance of about 7,000… imagine that…. it’s really hassle and inconvenient in my part…. Hope the big bosses of cebu pacific will do something about it… soon or later they will have no more customers..

I planned to try Cebu Pacific, I’ll always like PAL but decide to try Cebu Pacific this time. I went for their new e-ticket stuff. Now, it seems to me that they don’t have currency converter on how much there gonna charge my card. I called them and talk to this lady about that and she just said that their automatic system will convert if for me, which is so pathetic coz I dont know what’s their value for USD, it may higher to lower who knows.
Then, I’ll let somebody purchased it for me from Cebu then they can just email the receipt since it’s called “e-ticket” but they said they can’t! I wasnt so happy about it so I let this guy cancelled my ticket then went to PAL. E-ticket for Cebu Pacific is just not that good. Same thing with my friend but her case, she has this confirmation details that different in their system which is worst. I’ll never ever fly with Cebu Pacific!!!
