CES 2012 has just ended this week and there were quite a number of really great gadget announcements made by several manufacturers both in the handset and personal computing categories.
Here are our candidates:
Sony Xperia S. Son’y very own Android smartphone — the first one to come out after Sony’s break-up with Ericsson.
Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga. This ultrabook that flips over to look like a Windows 8 tablet was among the most interesting tablets that came out of CES this year.
HP Spectre. That almost all Gorilla Glass ultrabook from HP drew quite a lot of oohs and ahhhs.
Acer Iconia A700. Tegra 3 quad-core tablets is going to be the new battle-front this year and Acer’s one of the very few ones to show off their own tablets. That’s, plus the 1080p full HD display. This one’s going to be a challenger to the Transformer Prime.
Lenovo IdeaPad S2. Lenovo’s very own version fo the Transformer Prime promises up to 20 hours of battery life on a tablet + keyboard dock configuration.
Nokia Lumia 900. Packing a 4.3-inch AMOLED screen and Windows Phone Mango 7.5 OS capable of LTE speeds is the Nokia’s flagship handset for CES.
LG 55EM9600 OLED TV. This 4mm superthin OLED TV from LG is an impressive feat.
Asus Memo T370. This 7-inch Android tablet from Asus runs ona quad-core processor and costs only $249.
There may be a few more tablets or phones out there I failed to mention but you can go hit the comments and cast your favorite device from CES 2012.

Yung CES ba is held every year in Las Vegas? Or nag babago yung venue?
Sam says:
Xperia S – if Sony will keep on releasing high-end mobile products like this then I won’t be surprised if 1 day they will be the one to manufacture a Google Nexus phone. :-)
Samsung’s Smart Window – it’s amazing! :-)

yung mga design na hp sa laptop nila ginagaya nila yung macbook…

the XPERIA S! with that transparent antenna lying down at the bottom… it is a sure stand-out pag nag-compare sa ibang phone! astig ng XPERIA S GRABE! specs + design = FTW!. pero ung sa TV ganda nung sa LG OLED. the best!
marvin says:
SONY XPERIA S….. I’ll trade it with my SONY ERICSSOON XPERIA ARC. cant wait

Nice to see a local gadget site.
Phone: Asus Padfone. Phone, tablet, android netbook all in one. Technically though, not part of CES but will be part of MWC, so not sure if it counts. The rest is just regurgitation, IMO. Nothing released at CES seems to top my Galaxy Note.
TV: Samsung (not LG, their TVs gave me trouble before and bad local support) 55″ OLED TV. Going to import one once it drops under $4k all in. Perfect bedroom TV.
Laptop: Lenovo Yoga. Gadget lust ako. Hopefully they will make it thinner when its actually released.
In general: Win 8. When Win 8 has gone gold, I will kiss all my Android crap goodbye and we can all kiss Apple goodbye. History will repeat. Apple was first and dominant with Mac, but MSFT was not a controlling punk and almost wiped Apple off the face of the earth. Fast forward to today, Apple is the same controlling punk and say hello to 2014, where it is rinse and repeat.

Hey where is Razer’s Fiona? Best gadget for me. :)
JmBalicano says:
The Asus Memo T370 has a lot of potential to take over the Android tablet world. Both the Kindle Fire and the Nook tablet were able to combine affordability and a reasonable amount of performance into a very usable package. Unfortunately, they are also rather underpowered, which is to be expected because of their price point. The Memo T370 on the other hand, has a lot going for it because of that killer price point and powerful specs.
Larry says:
Canon 1DX should be in the list :-) that’s the pinnacle of today’s pro dslr, and of course nikon d4 :-)
Larry says:
ok we’ll just stick with cellphones and tablets :-)

Laptop/Tablet: The Intel Nikiski prototype :D
TVs: The giant 84-inches LG TV
Others: The Samsung Smart Window!

Sony’s Crystal LED TV looks promising. Mashable stated that it was the best among the rest at CES 2012.

For me Nokia made an impact in CES 2012. Nokia is back on track with the new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango powered Nokia Lumina 710, Nokia Lumina 800 and Nokia Lumina 900!
