i am a happy owner of this one! thank you yuga for helping me!
cynthia says:
actually, srp of the xperia arc is just P29,990 as posted here: http://technoodling.net/philippine-sony-ericsson-xperia-arc-gets-official-price/
dwardy says:
may nakakaalam ba kung magkano ang Xperia Neo? at tsaka kung idedemo rin ba siya dun?
Calvin says:
saw the neo kanina. sabi nila nasa 24k to 26k magiging srp paglabas neto.
here’s my first impression of the xperia neo if you’re interested:

Name: Dan_MD says:
Mr. Yugatech, What is your reference for the price?
P32,750 is too much IMHO. I’m amenable to this price if it’s the Xperia Play with the added hardware controls or the SGS 2 with dual core, NFC, etc.
Appropriate price for the features is P25-P28k.
Abe Olandres says:
@Dan_MD – the Xperia X10 also had an SRP of Php32k when it came out last year.
bauer says:
tama. around 25k lang dapat yan. hardware/software specs ang dapat magpamahal sa isang gadget, hindi lang yun design.
wala_lang says:
Sony has always been known to have a steep price, because of their designs and materials used. Their TVs, BD players, etc. all have steep prices compared to competing brands. Another company does well in this regards is Apple. Nobody’s complaining in this site that iPhone 4 costs an arm. Maybe some are, but the majority are not. I’m not an Android fanboy nor an Apple fanboy. I’m just stating my observation.
bauer says:
ang mahal naman niyan for 32k.. im sure hindi na lalayo ang price ng galaxy s2, motorola atrix, lg optimus 3d/2x diyan.
Cesar Noel says:
Dumadami na ang mga magagandang Android phones.
Messie says:
SE is also known for making classy and edgy designs. Yeah, I know LG Optimus 2 and the Galaxy S 2 might have monster specs, but hey, their boxy design is kind of dull and boring. The Xperia Arc on the other hand is a beauty in all angles. Kahit saang side mo picture-an tong phone na to, astig pa rin tignan.
mr.bogus says:
kung di lang dahil sa android, this phone is trash!!!!
wala_lang says:
It’s the same thing with the iPhone, without iOS it’s also a trash.
Jhay says:
This is a nice camera-smartphone, which SE has been known for. Another thing they are notorious for, jaw-dropping price tags on their handsets! T_T
Messie says:
tentative price is set at P33K. We’ll see this weekend if this will be true :)
elmerlovesoreo says:
Expensive. Eye candy. Pretty gorgeous specs. Can’t afford :(
adam says:
Which is better LG Optimus 2/ Samsung galaxy 2 or this SE Xperia Arc?. Para kasing mas ok yung LG Optimus 2. If the 3 has the same price bracket I think I’ll go with LG Optimus 2.
Philippine Android N says:
Hi Adam,
http://pinoydroid.net/mobile-processor-benchmark-omap-tegra-2-a4s was the first benchmark done by anandtech and it shows that LG Optimus 3D is on top and Samsung Galaxy S II followed along with Optimus 2x…
But to answer the question is which is better?
Xperia Arc is slower due to its single-core processor but its camera is better compared to others. It is also a slimmer phone same with Galaxy S II, around 10mm thick…
Pricing and Vendor update will determine its success in the market, both SE and Samsung have the record for delayed update…while LG is committed to atleast one update per year for their Phone…
http://pinoydroid.net/lg-commits-onelevel-firmware-update-minimum
Pinoy Android News says:
They should hurry and need to capture the Philippine Market, Samsung and LG has better Android phone with its dual-core Tegra 2 processor. Namely the Galaxy S II and Optimus 2x/mach…
But I’m eying for the Galaxy S II…:)
Rain says:
Guys Im thinking of shifting from iPhone to Android. I just want to try it if its really better but i dnt want to spend much as i am just trying this os. What phone can you recommend to try. Im thinking of htc desire or galaxy s. I tried x10 in megamall during its launch and i didnt like it, its too laggy compared to my 3gs
Ren says:
try htc desire hd
Paul says:
No way this comes at 25k locally.
The lowest quoted price for this in Europe is 500 euro, with Amazon.de quoting 600 (!) euro for pre-order. That’s over 30k to 36k before local taxes and customs kickback, etc.
US prices are supposedly lower but historically we are closer to EU prices, so expect the worst. Just look at Vaio laptop prices to see what I mean.
Knee Loat says:
“Qualcomm MSM8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz CPU”
kc Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon ing nasa SE site…pls kindly check naman poh…
Paulito says:
Well SE still has a bad taste. Imagine they let the X10 get stuck at Android 2.1
Their lame excuse is that there is no big difference in 2.2 and 2.1
can you imagine that? But the truth is that they were bringing out their new phones with 2.3 already. So if you owned any unit from the X10 family you would be forced to buy their new units if you wanted 2.2 or higher. LOL
Lame marketing strategy. I wonder at what Android OS this unit will get stuck at?
lawrence says:
Spec sheet says Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread.
dan says:
This would surely put them on top of android phones. Cant wait for the sony xperia play to hit the market. Good luck sony :)
lawrence says:
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3621&idPhone2=3619
So i guess it really is a choice between “sexiness” and hardware specs.
KennyV says:
Specs wise: SGS 2 > SE Experia Arc
Sexy wise: SE Experia Arc > SGS 2
Harley Son says:
just gorgeous!
Kawaii says:
It is a nifty device indeed, how much would be the estimated retail price for this one? 30k?
Jam says:
P25k – P28k is enought for that phone. *still waiting for Xperia Play*
Mars says:
I think this will be priced at around 28-32k.
dan_md says:
Spec-wise, this model is below Samsung Galaxy S II but you really have to give credit to the design which any fashionista (note: not us geeks) would go for any time of the day.
Even for a phone held below SGS II, the features are still the run-of-the-mill pleasantries you would expect from high-end offerings.
If it is priced right, Sony Ericsson might just have a hit. Php 25K is a fair price point IMHO
Jonaflormicfren says:
Sony-Ericson doesn’t want to be left behind, here he is. http://learner-spot.blogspot.com/
Mark says:
@bOkz this phone wont even come close to the galaxy s2’s specifications.. sexy lang talaga pero thats about it.
Dont get me wrong, I like Sony, in fact I’m using an x10, but the specifications they put on the Arc didnt go very far from what the x10 is right now… Gingerbread, better display and camera, plus the HDMI capability, those’re basically it
bOkz says:
deym! ganda! this phone or samsung galaxy s2?
name says:
of course Samsung SII .. it has 8mp rear cam, super amoled plus (better than bravia and reality), dual core 1Ghz processor(Arc doesn’t have one), new TouchWiz UI, 2mp front facing (something tha Arc doesn’t have)16/32 GB of memory, 1GB RAM .. what more can you ask for? it is “THE” phone .. but the pricetag sure won’t be friendly
John says:
Robin says:
whatever john!… sgsII is 2.3, 3.0 is a platform for tablets not mobile phones!!! you make the research first, ok?
John says:
zzz, poor people, blinded by the white sheet of paper. i know 3.0 are for tablets, everyone knows that! 2.3 does not support dual core processor, try to google it. rumors said that android 2.4 is the one that will support dual core processor, and also support for application coded for dual core devices to single core devices.
its samsung, so dont expect that it will support or updgrade to 2.4, LOL even they say so..
Rem says:
It has an 8MP cam with “award winning” EXMOR R backlit camera sensor which the Galaxy S II doesn’t have (meaning better image quality in lowlight). The Galaxy S II specs are better than the Arc’s, but Sony Ericsson made a phone that has an ORIGINAL design and UI. :D
Bronzki says:
I’m looking for a phone not a digital camera
Rem says:
I just stated a feature that’s not in the Galaxy S II. If you want a Galaxy S II, then go for it. :)
sonny says:
A preorder without the price? Leap of faith?
