Just 5 days after the new 10″ Acer Aspire One has been formally announced, the new model is ready for pre-oder with a suggested retail price of Php25,995.
Acer Aspire One 103
Intel Atom Processor N280
1.66GHz, 667MHz FSB and 512Kb L2
10.1″ display screen (1024×600 pixels)
Mobile Intel GN40 Chipset
Acer InviLink 802.11b/g WiFi
1.0GB RAM (512MB built-in + 512MB Module additional)
320GB SATA HDD
SDHC card reader
Acer CrystalEye Webcam
10/100Mbps LAN port
Multitouch touchpad
Bluetooth
6-cell battery
MicroSoft Windows XP Home
3G built-in (optional)
Pre-order price: Php25,995
100 units of the Acer Aspire 103 will be available by March 15, 2009 at PCCorner.
This model looks like a good bargain (including the 3G module) and you can always swap that extra 512MB stick with a 1GB or 2GB one for better performance. With all that, I think you still end up with a powerful netbook under Php30k.

Looks nice, but will it run OSX as easily as a MSI Wind? I love my little Hackintosh Wind, but the touchpad is terrible.

With that price, can we not buy a good laptop and not a netbook?
