Acer Iconia Tab M500 is a Meego tablet

Aside from the earlier Iconia Tab A500 that Acer has revealed earlier, they also have another 10-inch tablet that runs on Meego — the Acer Iconia Tab M500 (announced just recently over at Computex in Taiwan).

The Iconia M500 runs on an Intel Atom processor and will most probably be spec’ed like a netbook with an SSD storage.

Will post more updates once we get the release (via Engadget & NetbookNews).

no apps/app market – even the Honeycomb OS, which is based in Linux, has few available apps optimum for the tablet platform but their numbers are growing to say the least
no software updates – maybe I’m wrong here because there should be some updates in the future but that takes months or even years and that means countless sleepless nights
what I’m saying is this: buy it, and you’re on your own

IMO, since meego is linux based, for apps, maybe you will just like do:

    apt-get install
    or
    yum install
