Waiting for the review.. please review the 8′ 250GB and 101 G9 16gb please
I bought an Archos 8 tablet 250Gb HDD early this year, and now —ding!— it’s a brick. Never again will I go through this pain. I would go straight to the Asus Transformer Prime or wait for the next generation Samsung Galaxy tab with ICS and quadcore processors if I have the money, that I think will be money well spent.
Didn’t you get a warranty for it? Let me know, maybe i can hook you up with them for a replacement.
My unit was an Archos G8 250Gb HDD. I still have with me the warranty form. I think the problem is with the battery since it wont recharge with the power “light” signal dead. The problem with my unit, I think with this particular Archos line as a whole, is that the battery is so hot and noisy while using the tablet to the point that I had to constantly shift positions holding the tablet so that the palm of my hand doesn’t get first degree burns.
sir abe.correction po. 720p not 72p dun sa archos 101. :) thanks for this. :)
Nice.. i’ll wait for the full review..
if this can play 720p Videos smoothly then i will sell my Iconia A500 asap..haha
Will wait for your review on these ones sir yuga!
I’m skeptical about these ever getting upgraded to ICS. None of the Gen8 tablets ever got upgraded to Gingerbread. These took a long time coming here, and they’ve already got an outdated OS. I’d buy one in a snap if I knew these would get upgraded to ICS at least in the first half of next year. I’d probably use the 101 as a glorified magazine reader.
Archos has the best video codex support out of the box of any tablets or smartphone. Their gen 8 can play many files that even mx video player sometimes can’t.
The main downside of their gen 8 is poor Viewing angles of the lcd. Hope their Gen9 tablets had rectified that problem. Otherwise, it’s a pretty impressive tablet – spec wise.
:)*youre such a smart fanboy, sana lahat tulad mo mag-isip*
Wow. As per Archos Site:
“As most films and most encoding software use the H.264 High Profile codec for full HD 1080p videos, it’s important to be able to read them smoothly. Although standard nVidiaâ„¢ Tegra 2â„¢ powered tablets are only able to read H.264 High Profile videos at 720p, and even then it’s a choppy experience, ARCHOS G9 tablets with the powerful Texas Instruments OMAPâ„¢ 4 dual-core processor are able to read H.264 High Profile in Full HD 1080p smoothly and easily. ”
I’m intrigued.
I would love if the 3G is built-in on it without hassle plugging it externally.
