lolipown says:
A 7″ inch iMac? I want THAT
Justine says:
Sir Yuga. Kulang ng 2 yung sa last 27 inch. 8)
Damn ang mamahal! 8) I’d love to get a mac na!
Junalquis says:
overpriced piece of %#^@. lol I’m not saying Macs are bad in fact they are just as great the built quality on those things are second to none but with that price I can get an even better hardware like core i7 2600k and an amd 6970 gpu and an OS of my choice
lolipown says:
I guess you haven’t heard of the term IPS.
Paul says:
It’s overpriced only if you have the money to buy one of these to begin with.
It’s like whining how a sports car or helicopter is overpriced when you never had a chance in your lifetime to acquire one.
wrong says:
macs are nice but true they are overpriced. apple are for simple minded consumers. PCs are for advanced users. w/ the 99k price, a pc would kill the mac interms of speed/graphics overall function @ just 50k. the mac would win in out-of-the-box multimedia editing.
a sportscar is more fitting for a pc w/ monster parts. macs are the luxury cars being used by the government/elite people.
Junalquis says:
it’s overpriced for a computer and yes I’m not gonna spend an extra 20k for the same hardware and built quality because I’m not that stupud and I can assemble any pc I want, that way I can save money cuz I’m not rich. also the computer I built almost has the same specs except for the GPU and maybe a slightly slower CPU cuz my core i5 older it’s the 1366 socket and the thunderbolt and firewire port for 2/3 of that iMac’s price
Junalquis says:
oops i meant 1156 socket the 1366 is i7 it’s not the one in my room
daemon says:
i wont call most consumers of apple as “stupid” some are just fans while some just want it simple & stylish they have the money anyway.
but for advanced/techy people who crave for “SPORTSCAR” like speed,+ functionality/graphics & is buying a mac that is very STUPID really. :))
nameless says:
overprice because we haven’t experienced to have one yet? c’mon!
It’s overprice because we know a lot. Those rich computer dummies are the only ones fascinated by these products. because they don’t know a thing.
electrogadgetfreak says:
omg, ong mohol! I really envy mac users because they choose to buy these overpriced computers when they can get the same features for half the price ;)
zeratul88 says:
Sir, correct me if I’m wrong. Ang Intel i5 ay 2cores, 4threads and not 4cores. Ang intel i7 naman ay 4cores, 8threads.
So technically hindi legit na quad-core ang mga imacs na yan since core i5 lang sya having just two cores.
Abe Olandres says:
Some Core i5 have 4-cores as well.
sylv3rblade says:
Take note that these are Sandy Bridge based, not Arrandale.
Paul says:
Sandy Bridge Core i5 with 6MB of L3 cache (which these iMacs have) are all quad cores.
So yes, you are wrong.
zeratul88 says:
noted. :)
Steve Jobs says:
Quad core nga di ba? Ibig sabihin hindi dual core. Kilangan pa ba pagdibatihan…
benchmark says:
after sales kasi daw ang maganda sa mac kaya ganyan kamahal…as in professional ang magaayos ng pc nyo regardless of defect, software man or hardware…
well that is what I heard…
nameless says:
But you still have to pay more :D even the accessories cost a lot. softwares, etc. WTH. im not gonna be a slave of MAC. Once you buy one, it’ll cost you a lot and you’ll be spending more.
transit ads says:
at least its more affordable now, before you get a 2gb c2duo imac and now its 4gb i5 intel quad. I for one, would buy this fancy gadget bec. of its O.S. kinda expensive but it pays on the long run :)
lol says:
its not overpriced guys, if you say it is, then it means you cannot afford this top class machine and definitely your not apple’s market.
lolol says:
its overpriced.. if in case a product can stand on its own w/ a certain price tag and there is no competition in terms of function/speed @ a lower price, then it is not overpriced.
but since other computers can do more & is a lot faster w/ almost half the price, then that product is overpriced.
a bugatti veyron is not overpriced as it is the best and the fastest atm. a luxury Mercedes benz priced like a bugatti veyron is OVERPRICED!. ;)
earl says:
if anything is overpriced, it simply just means you cannot afford it.
its what separates from those who have, to those who have nots.
lolol says:
im want to be humble but i can afford two of those in 2 1/2 months, im binata all my earnings are all mine.
but thats what separates a smart consumer from a blind fanboy. again mercedes benz/ferrari are luxurious but if you price it like a veyron then they are overpriced. ;) digs?
just like bill gates…”$30 for a haircut? are you kidding me?!”
earl says:
you know what, i fully understand you especially after saying where you are coming from.
but give yourself a few years from now, where you reach age 30, and earning 5times your current income, then ask yourself honestly, if your taste have not yet changed.
“expensive” is relative only to your purchasing power.
Bryan says:
Apple is apple just like Louis Vuitton is Louis Vuitton. You can never change that. hehehe..
Emmitt Tagle says:
Brilliant post, Anders.
Keep up the good work, looking forward to next post.
