Globe has also introduced a new per minute bucket pricing for their mobile 3G called PowerSurf (as opposed to the unlimited SuperSurf). Rate starts at Php15 per 60 minutes (1 hour) but goes down to Php10 per hour for larger buckets.
Php15 for 60 minutes (expires in 1 day) – text PowerSurf15 to 8888
Php30 for 180 minutes (expires in 1 day) – text PowerSurf30 to 8888
Php50 for 300 minutes (expires in 3 days) – text PowerSurf50 to 8888
You need to have Php1 minimum load for PowerSurf15 and Php5 minimum load for PowerSurf30 and PowerSurf50 to activate this. It’s just a promo though and only lasts until June 30 this year.

@pupuboy
nope. I just put the sim in, fired up the phone and the phone did the rest of getting the seetings or they could already be embedded on the sim. I’m on a post paid line. But i never had any issues. except when I installed APN Droid. I have to reset my setitngs every 5 days.
may capping ba on powersurf?
nun gingamit ko ung supersurf50, blocked na sya at 500 mb a day/ contrary to reports of 800mb per day capping.
pero nagagamit for 2 days, turn on sa hapon, 500 mb night, another 500 mb the next day. = 1gb total max.
@tantra2gadget: changing the APN worked for me! thanks!
Ganito rin kaya ang rate kapag tethering using a mobile phone as router like BlackBerry?
Try to change the apn if your internet.globe.com.ph for postpaid or http.globe.com.ph for prepaid, after the succesful regs sa supersurf
And may proxy naman for free globe internet, hehehe
Like 100 per gb?
The best yung Powersurf50. Imagine 3 days without the hassle of expiry. Magandang offer ito ah.
now this is a nice offer from globe. :)
will try this out.
fortunately in my area, Globe 3G has improved significantly and is much faster than Smart 3G in 2nd place, and Sun 3G in thrid. My only problem w/ Globe in my area/residence is that I need to be near the window to get HSDPA speeds, if I’m located in the inner part of the house, I get poor signal resulting in poor internet speed.
Goodbye globe, ane hello sun iplans…
@Norman
Saksak mo sa pwet mo tapos magroroam ung tae mo.
Panu ako mkkavail Nyan if I use microsim prepaid for iPad?
Wait Powersurf… I’ve used the supersurf on my HTC Desire Z, that worked quite fine and sometimes even doing wifi share so that I could use my MBP with it. the powersurf looks kinda interesting but seems like it would be more costly since the lowest supersurf is 50 pesos for 1 day or 24 hours unlimited access. and the highest i believe is Php 220 for 5 days or hmmm 24 x 5 = 120 hours unlimited access.
The good thing i see about the powersurf is compared to regular time based browsing which is Php 20 for 1 hour browsing.
i think sun broadband has the best internet offers and the connection is fast based in my location here in cebu city.. the problem in sun broadband is their live streaming when peak hours..
the best talaga sun broadband…
@ sir alexie rivera, i just acquired my htc desire hd, and yesterday i inquired with the 3 network provider if they have internet or data configuration/settings available for the said phone but all of them have the same reply which is that they have no available data configuration the handset. is it true you could use your apps with the sun broadband sim? how much did u pay for the sim? also is it a postpaid plan or a prepaid sim package, thanks a lot…
chillax mga dude!
kelan kaya ang LTE? pag malapit na ang the end of the world?
@deuts
Hey you fat pig, stop promoting your useless blog here
@ ako: Ganon? I’m new to iphone kasi (bb user here). And I asked sir abe (yuga) puwede daw sa iphone.
i also use globe supersurf on my LG optimus one, data connection doesn’t work with the apps, but is only limited to the browser. :S So i guess this one would have the same limitations too.
@Jonaflormicfren, you know what could be the best offer from Globe? Read this: http://bit.ly/ib2lAJ
Globe has always something good to offer. http://daniojr.blogspot.com/
Is there any way to monitor how minutes I already consumed?
Sun network is good for the big cities for now
Just use Sun Broadband! d best!
I tried to make the data work on my Globe sim shortly after I got my HTC Desire and all I got to was enable the browser to work but none of the web enabled apps on the phone worked. This crippled it entirely because I wouldn’t bother with the browser since I have Twitter and Facebook apps. Not to mention Foursquare.
I tried chat support to get my data settings right but the support girl just amazingly dropped out of chat the second I mentioned my phone model. Nangangain ba ang HTC Desire? Ewan ko. Dapat siguro sinabi ko Galaxy S.
Having tried every so often just to see if I can get through, and wasting PHP10 every try mind you, I gave up and bought a Sun Broadband sim. It worked within minutes without any setup. The settings were all there. All the apps worked with the data too.
To this day I still don’t know what I could have done differently for the Globe settings. I’ve read all the settings that say they work but none I tried did. Not that I prefer their pricing system anyway.
All Sun needs now is to offer me something shiny and I’ll switch completely.
is this promo available for postpaid plans?
@maye…its because your using iphone. try another phone it will work
I tried this just now using my iphone 3gs. I think its not working. I’m connected daw but then sabi nung iphone wala daw net and di naka subscribe cellular data. Naka on both 3g and cellular data ko.
Throttling is not the same as capping.
Great deals for those who doesn’t have wifi. By the way, what do you mean by Capping?
If we say something nice to Globe perhaps they will get rid of throttling, a.k.a. capping.
unlisurf padin. lol. mas mura. no minutes to watch..
looks great but Globe has the slowest connection I ever experienced! Hope they would do something about it. Promos like this will only benefit the subscribers if quality of service is met.
now this is better than smart’s promo.
looking forward to be untied with Smart network. napansin ko sa smart, poor signal at least sa area ko, mas mahal na promos at lalo na sa text reminders nila, walang galang di tulad sa Globe. i regret signing up with them
TANGGALIN ANG CAPPING!!
