  1. di na nga ako masyado nakakapanood ng TV, eto pa. though maganda ang concept nya.

  2. Additional P400 a month is “not bad”? That’s P4,800 a year. I’d go for something like a one-time payment of, let’s say, P2,000 or P2,500 for the installation and the additional hardware device.

Anyway mukhang it’s target is the upper class naman talaga. Connected via HDMI cable meaning for HD TVs lang, which I don’t have. :))

    • may composite and component input din.

  3. 399 a month? mahal naman… oo sana may one time payment… eh kong ganyan naman lang i will stil use our play station X works just fine…. or buy some DVR station….

  4. SkyCable here in place kinda suck, my place is just 20m from the headend but my signal is crap…

  5. Is it true that there is no way to transfer recorded shows from the iRecorder to a computer?

  6. Bili na lang kayong megaupload account mga put@ngin@ ninyo para kahit 5 show nadodownload ninyong sabay sabay

  7. Will the scheduled recording based on time or by show (ala Tivo) ? Also is there a way to exporting the captured videos?

Seems nice for those who don’t have the time to setup a PC for DVR/Media Center use.

Still in favor of a properly configured PC since you can edit and archive the video and has better expansion courtesy of additional 1Tb+ HDD while doubling as a torrent rig ^_^

  8. I’m thinking of what tv shows that I like, that I could or should record, that I cant get from pirated stalls hehehe… :p

isn’t recording tv shows “pirating” also… oh well…

  9. Obviously to those people who complain about the price, hindi kayo yung target market nito. Kung hindi niyo kaya yung price e don’t subscribe.

  10. DigiBox sucks. We have one at home and it’s terrible. Worst than watching pirated tapes. Alam mo yung tumatalon pag gasgas yung tape? Ganon madalas yung TV namin. There was even a time na totally nawala yung sounds ng TV namin. D:

  11. I’ll stick to my old VCR to record Korean shows for my mom because it cannot transfer to my computer, DVD-Rs, external hard drives or USB flashdrives.

  12. Do you have info about when Cignal offers internet via their current subscription?

  13. Pwd po ba mapalitan yung HDD sa loob ng digibox sir Abe?

  14. TiVO in the Philippines.. not really, it’s too good to be true. I am a Skycable subscriber, yes it does record programs but you have to tune in to that channel for it to be recorded. An example would be, I wanted to watch a movie in Fox Movies Premium HD, it’s called Life of Pi. While it’s still on the credits of the previous movie, I browsed the EPG guide of Nat Geo Channel HD, something called Brain Games. So I clicked REC on it, thinking it would record Brain Games at the same time of I watching the Life of Pi. Then after a moment, it said to me about something that I should tune in to Nat Geo for it to record or else it won’t.. Silly recording feature. Would be useful if your outside and you left your Digibox to do it’s thing, but when your watching a show. Not useful at all.

Second, that promised “PAUSED, REWIND, FORWARD” feature somehow lets you think that it works like when you miss a show an hour before, you can put it back and watch it again. No, you are thinking it all wrong. First of all, that pause do actually work. But for one reason it transports you to a different interface, like a video player instead of your actual live broadcast. Rewind feature only works when you paused something, it stays that way until you exit the interface. For example, you are watching Walking Dead and you pause right where the zombies is about to get the main character. On it’s pause position, you play it and you see that the rewind feature only puts you back to where you pause it. Forward is when you are rewinding it back. TiVo is different, it’s like time machine..you can go back to the previous show if you wanted. Also, to the recording, it stutters alot really maybe simple stutter of the audio. But picture is okay.

Third, this IRECORD FEATURE won’t work if you don’t have an external HDD or usb.. everything from recording, pause, rewind and forward. I informed my csr about it, they said it’s not included in the digibox.

So this won’t even be close to the TiVo experience at all.. they need to fix it.
