J. Angelo Racoma says:
Am connected via a “linksys” network right now at the Luisa building (where Belcap and Equitable savings bank are located) along Maginhawa street in Teachers Village (also near the barangay hall / Mini Stop).
Not a very strong signal, but bearable. Someone must be ok with sharing his/her office WiFi. Either that, or they don’t know how to configure their network (the “linksys” name suggests so). Just a block away, I’m sharing my WiFi access myself!
Nick says:
Confirmed myself:
Starbucks G4 is NOT free. You have to buy a Wiz Globequest card.
sarah says:

J. Angelo Racoma says:
“HI there J. Angelo Racoma where in maginhawa does have an wifi free access”
One, in front of my place (that’s near JMX computers–and no, I don’t own the shop).
Two, near mini-stop. My bro says there’s a cafe there that has WiFi. Haven’t tried it out yet, though.
Three, Belcap building, where Equitable PCI is situated. Used that once. It’s open-access. Don’t know who owns it though (does the fact that I accidentally gained admin access to the router menas I own–or rather pwn–it? Heheh).
There may be others, as Maginhawa is a long, long road. What about Kalayaan Ave? There’s Airborne Access at Mocha Blends Malakas St. (near Heart Center).
J. Angelo Racoma says:
My contact info is in my blog, btw, in case you’d like to get in touch with me.

Ardie says:

Ardie says:
Hi J. angelo I have a question what if if your using ur laptop everyday and of course you need to recharged every 3 hours is there possible to decrease the battery life of your laptop? and how many year will take long for the battery of compq presario or it depends in the brand of laptop tnx..
Ace says:
@ardie:
wifi is just some kind of LAN that is wireless. So the internet speed really depends on the type of connection on the server of that wireless LAN. Wifi will be faster if the network has a lease line or business type of connection which can be seen on corporate or commercial networks. BTW, wifi has a speed of 54 Mbps on the network(most common), although the latest protocols can support up to 100 Mbps or beyond.
Nadine says:

Now Waterfront recently inked a partnership with PLDT, giving all of its 561 guest rooms Broadband Wireless Internet Access.

Quiet, lots of tables and available power outlets on the walls. They have 3 free internet terminals for non-wifi users. Good place to hang-out and surf the web while enjoying the yogurt.

read your reply posted last year regarding the wifi hotspot you discovered along maginhawa street in teacher’s village. i live in U.P. Bliss and me and my family have been connecting to a linksys wifi connection for about a month now – – my brother’s girlfriend discovered it by accident when she turned on her wifi. signal says ‘very low’ but its ok, pretty fast. i’ve ditched using my weroam whenever i go online in UP Bliss since then.

the WEP key serves as their security code for their wireless network, it’s a code for you to know in order to access their wireless network
some establishments do not include WEP key, some do have…
you can ask customer service for the WEP key though some might require payment for it ( i think )
sa case ng Airborne Access (wireless ISP), based on my experience in Laguna, they don’t have a WEP key so you can access their network anytime without requiring a security code though the only thing you can access is their website, so you need to buy a card for you to access other websites
most of the locations above are free especially at Robinson’s Manila..that doesn’t require a WEP key
i hope i answered your question ^_^v

Thank you.
bulbsandbubbles says:
Hi Miles,
Not Sure if you were really inquiring about a wifi hotspot or whether there is internet signal in Montalban where Eastwood Residences is located. Nonetheless, wifi hotspots will only be available if there is broadband/internet signal. So all I can say is there is good Smart Bro coverage in San Rafael / San Isidro Montalban, where I think Eastwood Residence is located. You can find more details here:
http://bulbsandbubbles.blogspot.com/2011/09/broadband-internet-montalban-rodriguez.html
Hope this helps.

Our renters moved out a few months ago and left us having a mess to clean up. Not just had been there holes inside wall, they also destroyed doors, window frames and carpets. They had been extremely smart and covered up the harm with pictures, posters and curtains so we didn’t realize the extent in the harm until they have been gone. Now we’re fixing up the house so we can rent it again. Thankfully, this work is a lot easier as we have a laptop with wireless capabilities. We are able to Watch Frasier Online. too as other exhibits so we’re entertained although toiling away. It is fantastic that the Online offers items of this nature.
