Internet Speed in SEA in Last 5 Years

Data from Ookla from the last 5 years showed significant increase in average speed for SEA countries with PH showing 403% growth, gaining four-folds in terms of speed improvements as shown in the infographic below.

Singapore continues to have the fastest average internet speed at 175Mbps, followed by Hong Kong at 141Mbps.

The Philippines, while still behind, has climbed to #9 of the 14 countries in the region.

    Due to greed in the government here, setting up a site is a tedious task due to red tape and corruption

    WA class pa rin ang mga Telco natin. Parang ang mga telco executives hindi pa nakaka punta sa Singapore o kumikita naman sila kasi kahit WA class nga naman

    At least naman pala umuusad, so mabuti naman. Though we’re still way behind other countries, notably even Vietnam. I guess in many ways napag-iwanan na tayo ng Vietnam.
