BlackBerry 10 Laguna specs leaked, tops 355ppi

A leaked specs sheet of the upcoming BlackBerry 10 Laguna (CDMA version for Verizon) showed the most detail hardware configuration of the next line of BB handsets.

While this model is made for Verizon, the only difference between this one and the international version could be the CDMA-GSM radio.

BlackBerry 10 Laguna specs:
4.2-inch display @ 1028×768 pixels, 355ppi
Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz – 1.7GHz (dual-core Krait)
1GB RAM
16GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD
LTE
NFC
micro-HDMI
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, dual-band
1800mAh battery
BB 10 OS

The pixel density of 355ppi is, if true, the highest in a handset of this category. This is probably the same BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha handset we’ve shown here before.

The future is starting to look bright for Blackberry. I’m so looking forward to getting that qwerty BB10 unit. I don’t care about the gazillion apps that other users seem to want since I only get the apps that I need.

    • saber210 says:

i really hope BB survives… for competition’s sake. it’ll be good for consumers in the long run.

  5. Kaloy says:

Woohoo..! I really can’t wait for BB10. I really don’t care if those bashers/trolls continue doing what they do. Basta ang alam ko BB all the way ako since it satisfies what I want in a phone. My BB 9780 & 9320 will survive until next year. Also, I can’t wait for the upgrade of BB10 on my PlayBook. BB FTW!

  6. Boy Butet says:

^ Nice, I hope maging success launch nila for the BB10 para mas maging maganda ang mga competition ng diff. OS

  7. byronmac says:

    • ahatex says:

super layo talaga at kahit anong gawing di sila magkakalapit.

kasi naman ang BB10 ay Operating System at ang iPhone ay cellphone unit.

      LOL!

    • frenchy says:

ang layo naman ng itsura ng BB10 sa iPhone.

    • La+ says:

Bitter much LOSER? Kitid ng utak mo.

Mga kagaya mong tao walang alam kundi mag-sumbong. Na patent ba ng Apple ang rectangle? Ha? Ano? Hindi? I thought so.

  8. shoktong says:

bakit laguna? gawa po sa dito sa pinas yan?

  9. booboo says:

After BB 10 Laguna, RIM to release BB 10 Batangas and BB 10 Cavite.

    Joke lang. :p

  10. rocketlog says:

Despite the good sales figures, RIM still actually posted a loss last quarter.

BB10 seems like a step in the right direction, but quite frankly, I don’t think they’re out of the woods just yet.

I love how they have the Nokia N9’s Meego edge-swiping gestures at play in their latest UI demos. Really seems like quite a promising new OS.

  11. silencer says:

hate me.. i still say rim is dead.

    • BBpriest says:

Nope, we love you still! Jump to RIM when you’re ready! :)

  12. FutureFanboy says:

They beat market expectation last quarter, those pinoy Ifanbois can scream all they want. RIM is here to stay and prosper.

    • lalaland says:

yeah… you’re right! last quarter sales was never expected by a lot of people!!

here in iloilo i was shock not seeing a lot of galaxy y/pocket right now! all i see is either BlackBerry 9220/9320 or 8520 i see a lot of bold 9900 and torch 9860 too!!

i think RIM is on the right track with BB10 and they should cut down the prices of the BB7 devices now in order to sell more!

  13. lalaland says:

wow!! really inlove with BlackBerry right now!! really hate when people talk S H I T by saying that RIM is Dead!

devs are happy to make apps for BB10 coz they say its not complicated, its easy to port the apps to the platform!

the software BB10 is really promising! very versatile… the OS is like the mash up of WP, iOS, android, webOS and MeeGo but it a BlackBerry Way!

really looking forward of owning a BB10 device next year!

  14. les02jen17 says:

RIM is not necessarily trying to “compete” with the giants (Apple, Samsung etc) but rather trying to “catch up” with the times. :) I hope they can survive. :D

    • lalaland says:

yes they are catching up! but thats not really the point! the ecosystem is growing and software is really promising! they, i think, take note of the competition– adding a lot of things to BB10 from the active frames which is equal to WP live tiles or meego’s multitasking, the tray buttons looks like iOS/android but with BB signature and a lot more!

they have a clear shot of being either 3rd or 4th or maybe even 2nd if they will grow fast! why? coz i think microsoft is scrambling down on how will the 100,000+ apps of WP7 will work on WP8 thats why WP8 is still limited to few developers! but they have nokia on their side! and if apple wont make big news for the next iPhone (5S/6?) they’ll face their downsides now!

  15. wendell says:

    Nice move BB…..
