Successors to the Flame and the Omega are already out, but it looks like CM has another sequel up its sleeve, and it’s for the Skyfire. A photo on their Facebook page teases a Skyfire 2.0 that is supposedly quad-core like the Fusion Fire, the Fusion Bolt and the Flame 2.0.
CM has been planning a lot of follow-ups lately, since they also teased another phone. At first, we thought that it was the next Dragon phone, but if you make out with the motion blurred text, you’ll definitely read Skyfire 2.0.
The first Skyfire hosts a 4.7-inch display & a dual-core CPU, running Android 4.0, and that sold for Php5,999. Aside from the confirmed quad-core processor, we can observe that the other devices in the teaser feature Android 4.1 & 1GB RAM – so there’s a high chance that this one will be similarly spec’d.
What do you think? Is it worth waiting for?

Myphone vs Cherry mobile vs O+
-Kung kaya nyo ang Php13,000+, mag O+ 8.15 kayo. One of the world’s thinnest phone eh.
-Kung gusto nyo medyo less, mag A919i duo kayo.
Note: qHD is only 960 x 540 pixels while HD is 1280 x 720 pixels. So does A919i duo.
-Pero kung kapos kayo, mag Skyfire 2.0 kayo! :P

lee paul says:
if di naman malayo ang price ng new MYPHONE A919i, i prefer myphone nlang maayos pa ang aftersales sa any solid repair shops. ( Ang solid ang authorized ng Sony at Aiwa when it comes to TV and other repairs).
Cherry says:
Buti na lang d pa ako nkabili ng Omega Hd :-)
Can’t wait for Skyfire 2.0
putaputa says:

evollove says:
I hope it has:
-a 720p screen
*(hopefully IPS)
-Mediatek’s MT6589 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8225Q CPU
*(keeping my fingers crossed that it has the Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 though, THE real competition to the MT6589)
-competitive pricing against MyPhone’s upcoming A919i which has been preliminarily priced by leaks at Php 9590
*(In this case it’s logical for CM to place the Skyfire 2.0 at around 8.5k to 9.5k, maintaining a premium over their current “flagship”, the Omega HD while still undercutting the competition – a trend I’ve seen with regards to CM phones)
-a decent camera
*(at least 8MP with dual-LED flash and 720p video recording – won’t be much use to me personally, but others might be looking for this feature)
If the factors are a check, I believe CM has a winner in their hands. They can have my money for my next phone, that’s for sure. And it’s not just the local competition that should be worried (looking at you Samsung!).
wewet says:
probably MT6589, 1GB, no dragontrail glass nor corning, 8MP, 1.3-2MP FC, 4GB, and hoping of min 3000mAH up then this would sell..
if only they can rebrand the pantech sky vega then it will be a different story &_&
Vince says:
THE BATTERY! DON’T FORGET THE BATTERY!
Seriously, it will be a huge deal-breaker if it has a low-powered battery, even with those specs.
The most REALISTIC vision I could think of is it (CM Skyfire 2.0) to have a 1800 mAh battery.
dan says:
pamatay a919i ba yan? iyakan na naman mga naka Omega HD nyan.
