  2. Mark says:

Ano ba talaga SMART???

    • Jay says:

Well, I guess SMART is not smart after all.

  3. Mark says:

may free call or text ba yung plan 1000? or just 100mb bandwidth lang?

  4. Sashafierce says:

    Looks like a calculator….

  5. Cocopako says:

    One word to say, MALAPAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • dumb says:

coz its a qwerty phone you dumbf@ck!

  6. Mike says:

I currently have a BB Curve 8520, but seeing the black one made me think twice of buying it…Hope it also comes out unlocked in other stores other than Smart…

  7. Jazon says:

The black one looks good. But for P500 more one can get the Nokia E6 which has better hardware though the OS is questionable.

  8. manaka_junpei says:

I hope there’s a Red version para alam mo na, Red Hood Chacha

    • Glen says:

      May touchscreen po!
      Display

    • she_ina83 says:

akazukin chacha? sorry natanong ko pa eh no.. haha :D otaku tendencies.. tsktsk.
Mukhang ok din ito, kaya lang hindi siya touchscreen.. sabagay anliit kasi ng screen. Puwede na to!

  9. Jonaflormicfren says:

Let’s see what these company can do in promoting their product.

  10. Garyboi says:

It’s obvious; if you buy the prepaid kit from Smart then it’s locked to Smart. Same thing if you buy a prepaid kit from Globe or Sun. If you buy the phone from HTC or a dealer, chances are it’ll be an openlined phone.

    • JKisaragi says:

When the SGS first came out from Globe last year, the early batches were not locked.

Yes, it “should” be locked to Smart’s network. But hey, if it happened to Globe, it “could” happen here as well. :)

  11. Glen says:

I hope Globe launches this as well. Im due for my plan renewal this year! :)

  12. JKisaragi says:

    I have two questions:

1.) Is it network-locked to Smart even if you buy the prepaid kit?

    and

2.) Will it be available 12 months 0% installment from Smart? (Just asking as I think Globe offers some of their phones via installment).

Hope you can answer these Sir Abe. TIA :)

  13. tukicookie says:

Yeah, I would also want to know if this phone is locked to smart. If not, I am off to buy it.

Please find out for us if it is locked or not.

    Thanks.

If it is locked, when will it stay exclusive to smart?

  14. chachans says:

is it available at htc sm north? can anyone confirm is the chacha lock for smart users? i’ve been waiting for this a long time.. tnx

    • chachans says:

where did you get one? is it from htc or smart? thanks

    • venicelyn says:

i got one and its open line, its also touch screen, thou you will use a keypad when composing text…..

  15. rcheeks says:

htc chacha is better than galaxy s bec chacha has 5mp camera and the Os is already gingerbread. :)

    • bri says:

i hope you’re just being sarcastic.. otherwise, you’re either a hater or stupid.. maybe both..

  16. gelo says:

Which do you think is better – the white or the black one?

  17. xx says:

Whew! HTC had been spamming my e-mail about this phone. I have received four e-mail messages from HTC_Ev****@****.*** with around 3-5 minutes interval earlier. Unlike.

  18. gadgetaddict says:

quite expensive. dagdag ka na lang ng 1k makakabili ka na nag samsung galaxy sl.

    • gadgetaddict says:

Sabagay. Depende na rin sa preference ng user. Htc widfire s now is 12,800.

    • adam says:

Yeah I think HTC wildfire S is cheaper by 1K than this Cha cha.

    • Calvin says:

The ChaCha is a niche phone. if you do a lot of Facebooking, you would appreciate the tight integration HTC did with it via the ChaCha. It also has a quirky design for quirky people.

But if you don’t fall into that category then yeah, add 1k and get a Galaxy SL instead. Or get the Galaxy Pro if you’re after the QWERTY keypad.

  19. Ray says:

How long do you think the Chacha will be under SMART? I’m guessing the unit is locked to SMART if I even buy one with their prepaid kit?
