Lenovo Mobile Philippines has launched in the country today a 5.5-inch smartphone sporting a Snapdragon 430 CPU, 4GB RAM, 16MP rear camera, and large 4,000mAh battery – the Lenovo K6 Note. Find out our initial thoughts about the device below.
Lenovo is going for premium with the K6 Note, not just with looks but with feel as well. The front is entirely covered in glass that slightly curves at the edges, while the rest is full-metal unibody.
The 5.5-inch display has a Full HD resolution which equates to 401ppi. IPS tech is here as well for wide viewing angles. Located above the screen are the earpiece, 8MP camera, and sensor. Down below are three capacitive buttons for navigation. Sadly, these don’t light up in the dark.
On the left is the hybrid SIM tray which can accommodate two SIM cards. You can also place a microSD card but at the sacrifice of one SIM slot. On the right are the volume keys and the power/lock button.
Up top, are the 3.5mm headset jack and microphone, while down below are the microUSB port, and two sets of drilled holes for the loudspeaker and microphone.
At the back are the 16MP camera with Phase-Detect AutoFocus, dual-LED flash, and round fingerprint scanner.
On the hand, the K6 Note feels pretty wide and chunky for a 5.5-incher, but you can still easily grip it and navigate with one hand. It’s also an understandable trade-off considering the large battery.
As for its OS, it’s running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box skinned with Lenovo’s own UI. No word yet if it will be upgraded to Nougat.

Got this phone for a month and here’s what I notice.
1. Home and back buttons stop working. Tried resetting and don’t tell me restore factory settings because I’ve already done it. I’m using wide touch at the moment. (Will go to service center and see what they can do about it.)
2. Dual speakers? LOL crazy but only one speaker is working.
3. When taking pictures you should have a steady hand or else blurred pictures will be taken.
Wifi and other apps are working fine. Battery really is good I can do data all day while texting or calling.
Overall, disappointing to have this phone right now. Next time I will be more careful when choosing my next phone.
