We recently got our hands on one of Samsung’s upcoming devices for the Philippines, the Galaxy J7 Pro. It’s the cousin of the Galaxy J7 (2017) with some differences. Let’s check it out in our first impressions below.
The Galaxy J7 Pro looks just like the Galaxy J7 (2017) that was recently announced. One the front, it has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, along with the earpiece and 13MP camera with LED flash placed just above it.
Down below are the physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner, and a couple of capacitive keys on its left and right side for navigation. Mounted on top of the whole thing is a scratch-resistant glass with curved edges.
Placed on its left side are the power/lock button and the loudspeaker.
While on the right are the volume buttons and a couple of trays that can accommodate two SIM cards and a microSD card, which is a good thing.
Down at the bottom, are the microphone, microUSB port (versus the USB-C on the J7 2017), and headset jack.
Flip it on its back and you’ll see the 13MP camera and LED flash. Also visible here are two antenna bands which actually looks good on the device as it gives character to an otherwise plain-looking back.
On the hand, the J7 Pro looks and feels premium thanks to its metal unibody design. Meaning when you hold, all you are touching is glass and metal. The rounded edges and corners also make it comfortable in the hands.
What’s missing on the J7 Pro though is splash-resistance which is a handy feature to have. The rest are similar such as the Exynos 7870 CPU, 3GB RAM, Android Nougat, and 3,600mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro specs:
5.5-inch Super AMOLED display @ 1920 x 1080 pixels

Mali-T830 GPU

hi, pwede magtanung, yung front cam kasi naka mirror sya wala bang unmirror?????
BP says:
It is pre-installed application sir..ganun naman talaga lahat..even iphone 2gbram free, even it says 2gb lng cya visible (but technically it is around 3-4gb not visible) kaya ganun na din cya kamahal..sa ibang phone kc visible 4gb pro yung free, around 1.8gb, sa 3gbram around 1.2gb free
Rey says:
I have my new samsung j7 pro with 32gb internal storage. But i have noticed almost half of the storage was consumed by user data even though i just have 1gb apps and no any other media saved in my device. How does it happen that my free storage is more or less 18gb?
Arnel says:
Just bought mine and dissapointed ng konti sa camera as compared to my current HuaweiP9. Satisfied nmn ako sa price nya at sa dual active SIM plus microSD as compared to my HP9.
WalangKwent@ says:
sa tingin ko the term PRO refers to the “camera” , phone manufacturers ngayon tinatarget nila ung mahilig mag selfie-groufie-fietang ina.. mas maganda capture ng cam sabi nila haha. regardless the overall performance ng phone. ok lang naman ung china phones kahit mawala o masira at least mura, maka txt & call ka lang. :P

bought J7 Pro and I LOVE IT!
Stefanie says:
.Thanks!
meowchi says:
For me I am satisfied with my purchase. For starters i am not a heavy-user. So hindi ako nakaka experience ng heating problem. My Most used apps are fb, messenger, browser, and instagram. I also dont use my j7 pro for games.
Pros:
•Always on Display is useful for me.
•photo quality is good even in low light.
Major Con for me is that the front cam is always on auto focus. If your hands are not steady high chance na blurry ang shots. But the quality is great, better actually than my friend’siphone 6. So to get that perfect selfie/groufie you really need steady hands.
So these are my opinions lang naman. :)
Myke says:
So far iilan lang ung nakita kong maaayos na comment. Puro bobong comments halos lahat. Hahaha..

Tara says:
Eymann says:
oppo and vivo are most likely the same lang cla. tingnan mo naman cla parang iphone rip-off lang kasi almost the same na yung OS nila..
ice says:
i agree though, i bought my new j7 pro.
gives me all i need from a SMART CAMERA PHONE.
dennis mark says:
haha china daw ang vivo….shet
Princess says:
.Does it have led light notification?
Asma Harshi says:
What makes the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro stand out of the crowd is the design of the antenna bands at the top and bottom of the rear panel coupled with the flushed camera module, which is surely a head turner, though the front of the device resembles strongly with Galaxy S7
Baldo says:
May flash sa front cam. Nougat instrad na marshmallow. F1.7 sa rear cam instead of f2.2. 3600mah battery instead na 3300.
melvin says:
Dual LTE sim capable din ba or sim2 2G capable lang
archie says:
Pakiverify please. Thanks.
Stoick says:
Nagbabasa ka ba talaga? Baka tumingin ka lang?
master says:

Kaylogan says:

Fabian Mari Java says:

Ideaslimitless says:
