Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Gear launched in the Philippines

SM Aura Premier, BGC – Samsung has officially launched in the country last night the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 and its camera-equipped companion smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear.

To give you a recap, the Note 3 and the Gear went official on September 5 during Samsung’s Unpacked 2013 event in Berlin, and it was just yesterday that the said devices were officially launched in the Philippines.

As mentioned in the earlier article, the Galaxy Note 3 LTE 32GB model will sell for Php36,990 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear will retail for Php13,990. In addition, the Note 3 Flip Cover will retail for Php1,699 and will be available starting October 4.

To spice things up a bit, Samsung is offering a “First Day Promo” wherein buyers of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear can get Special Discounts amounting to Php3,000 while the Flip Cover will get a discount of Php500.

Got it at Aura on the day 1 launch, I just wanted to ask if anyone had the same issues/bug I’m having where the Handwriting to Text function no longer works? Hoping there is a quick solution to this.

Thanks for the info Abe. Hopefully there will be sufficient stocks when they release it in October 4. And hopefully the units that will be released on that date will/can be used internationally. I already pre-ordered this unit but would cancel it after reading this column that just came out. Darn.
