Xiaomi‘s Co-founder and President, Bin Lin, has announced on his Facebook page that the company will unveil its next flagship device next month.
Xiaomi has been performing well this year, and according to Bin Lin, the company has completed its latest round of funding last week, raising its valuation to US$45 billion. This is good news to Xiaomi fans as this means that the company will be able to produce better products as well as expand to new territories.
Xiaomi’s current flagship smartphone, the Mi 4.
But what consumers are waiting for the most is the release of its new flagship which is slated to be unveiled next month. “We will strive to continue bringing innovation to everyone, with a goal of producing high-quality, high-performance devices with great user experience. In January 2015, we will be unveiling our next flagship device.” said Bin.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
For fans in the Philippines, this is bittersweet news as the current flagship devices, the Mi 4 and Mi Pad, are not yet offered in the country, leaving us asking how long we will have to wait to get our hands on the Mi 5 or Mi Pad 2.
