Looks like the government is keen on catching up on their backlogs as the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Land Transportation Office (LTO) open up a Plate making facility. DOTr Sec. Arthur Tugade, along with LTO Chief Edgar Galvante, will lead the official inauguration of LTO’s Plate Making Facility today. It is located at LTO’s Main Office along East Avenue in Quezon City.
The facility will enable the government to produce and manufacture plates on its own. It’s said to now currently hold seven manual embossing machines that, at full production, is capable of making 22,000 plates per day. That’s not all though, as the facility will also be receiving an automated embossing machine in July, which can reportedly produce around 12,000 plates per day.
