It’s all about giving consumers options for ASUS. That said, if the new Transformer Book T100 isn’t your cup of tea, then one of these new notebook PCs will surely fit your computing need, not to mention your budget.

First on the list is the new ASUS X550LC – a sub-40K notebook PC equipped with Intel Core i5-4200U dual-core processor and NVidia GT720M graphics card. It’s got a 15.6-inch HD screen and SonicMaster speakers housed inside a sleek form factor with “Spun Finish” design.

If you feel you need a little more power under the hood, you can also opt for the X550LB which comes with an Intel i7-4500U, 8GB of RAM and NVidia GT740M GPU with 2GB VRAM.

Now if a touchscreen display is a must have feature you, then there’s also the new 15-inch Vivobooks namely the F550CC and S551. Of the two, the F550CC has the more modest setup which includes 500GB HDD, 3rd Gen Intel Core processor, 4GB RAM and an NVidia GT720M graphics card. It can be had for Php37,995USD 647INR 54,888EUR 617CNY 4,715 and will come pre-installed with Windows 8.

The S551, on the other hand, is running on Core i7-4500U process with 4GB of RAM, GT740M GPU and features a hybrid storage setup (750GB + 24GB SSD). Mind you though that the Vivobook S551 costs Php12K more than ASUS is charging for the F550CC, so that’s something you also have to take in to consideration.

  1. 4gb ram :|

    • 4gb of RAM is more than enough for gaming ang casual needs. Where do you intend to use a lappy of 6gb+ of Memory?

    • It might suffice for the apps yet you cant multitask that much with that much ram. Heck I doubt you can watch 1080p vids while doing something with that

  2. N5550? Or should it be asus n550 without 1080 display?

  3. how much yung X550LB?

  4. Did they discontinue the X550-dp? ’cause I really would prefer a Radeon HD GPU over Nvidia’s gt7xx and am willind to take the processor hit to get it.

  5. Sir, is the battery of the ASUS F550CC removable?
