MSI Primo 81: 7.85″ IPS, Quad-Core, Jellybean 4.2 tablet

Our first day here at Computex in Taiwan and we covered the MSI Press Conference. One of the tablets they showed here in the exhibit is the MSI Primo 81.

The tablet is very thin at 7.8mm, almost as thin as the iPad Mini and actually looks like the Mini with its aluminum body.

MSI Primo 81 specs:
7.85-inch IPS LCD display @ 1024×768 pixels
Allwinner A31S quad-core processor
1GB RAM
16GB internal storage
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Android 4.2 Jellybean
Li-Ion 3500mAh battery

It’s got a front-facing and rear cameras, physical control buttons at the top and USB OTG capability.

The device is about 323 grams in weight. From our hands-on, No idea what the price of this tablet is and if ever it will be released in the Philippines.

  1. I’m smelling an Apple lawsuit here…

  2. They really should bring that over here. The local market is lacking in non-Apple, 4:3 aspect-ratio devices.

  3. Saw units at shops in SM Megamall for about 6-7k. :)

  4. There is no 3g capability

  5. Please, how much is it?
