Been talking to the rep of Neo Philippines for the last 2 weeks about their Android tablet, the Neo Edge OmniPad, but they told me it’s on a limited release to only their business and enterprise partners.
As such, they’re not actively marketing it to the public. I have not personally seen the device but they’ve already promised to send me a unit once it’s become available (looks like a lot of our friends in the press are also lining up). Some folks have bought units out in the wild though {via TPC}. I am told Compex has some stocks being sold in their retail stores.
Neo Edge OmniPad
10.1″ 1024×600 pixel capacitive touch screen
Dual-core Cortex A9 1 GHz
NVIDIA Tegra 250
512 MB DDR2 + 512 MB NAND
Android 2.2
WiFi 802.11 b/g
Bluetooth 2.1
HDMI out
1.3MP webcam
USB 2.0 port
microSD (bundled with 16GB)
3G (optional)
3300 mAh Li-Ion battery (6 hours of HD video or 15 hours of music)
The WiFi-only version is selling for Php15,990 and there’s a 3G version for Php19,990. Neo reps tell me they’re coming out with a better model to introduce to the market so this one’s on a limited release only (the tablet is actually a rebadged Advent Vega and/or POV Mobii Tegra Tablet.).

hdmi port are working properly nice..
di pa upgradable stil using froyo na puro bugs
lacks of button so di rin ganun ka daling gamitin.

Harley Mah-Son says:
Nice one from neo and if ever they will be releasing a better one, I will surely get one as long as it is 3G capable. I love Neo. My Neo Elan N3103 is still working perfectly from the day I bought it. It has been with me for almost 2 yrs now. When buying Neo, go for the latest and ones with a higher specs and do inspect it well before taking out your hard-earned cash!
Peace!
JunAlquis says:
the better model should have have Android 3.0 o kahit 2.3 man lng since dual core processor naman to eh.
ellenjoycastel says:
interesting… even their 3G version is cheap but since they will be coming out with a better model, I’ll just have to wait for that.
Sketch says:
Who is the ODM of this product?
KImkae77 says:
nice one..
pwede din kaya dito yung 3g modem like my flytouch2?
Gerard Banasig says:
The specs are good, looks like the neo omni pad is nice and fun to have.
Alvin says:
NVIDIA Tegra 250 FTW! IMO, nakalamang to sa Archos 101 dahil sa Tegra and Dual Core Cortex A9…
alvin says:
sorry. Neo for me is still something I won’t ever go back to after suffering from poor after sales customer service.
Jonaflormicfren says:
It’s a nice one from Neo, they’re just showing that they’re capable of going with the present trend. http://iloveyou-mydear.blogspot.com/
NineSwordz says:
@John: yup! yung “N” nga. ^^ and he said to read carefully.. lol XD
John Ray Ebora says:
^^
Kobe-air says:
@nineswordz, it has wifi. Read carefully. Just update the android version and bump in 16gb of internal memory plus sd card for the same price and im sold.
wickedservant says:
buy filipino! we can’t rely on OFWs forever. let’s invest on our own and become a country of manufacturers instead of copycats. kahit unknown i bought it. why? so that the money i paid for it will make the next model better…
NineSwordz says:
Puro kayo “im waiting for the iPad 2.. i can’t wait bla bla..” eh bibili ba kayo? hehe. XD back to Neo..
Pros:
ARM Cortex A9 + 512 MB DDR2 + 512 MB NAND
16Gb micro SD bundled
Cons:
Not WiFi 802.11 b/g/n?
Looks like iPed.. XD
2toyzki says:
P15++k yung price.probably its the wifi-only version.
Patutz says:

Ethan Tremblay says:

btw, @sir abe: do you know when will mozilla release their seabird? tnx
Edwin C says:
Hintay ko iPad 2. When ba?
csseyah says:
wow.. wink* wink* I like that!
Relient D says:
bought mine last saturday, medyo disappointed lang because of the the flash didn’t come pre-installed and 1080p playback didn’t work, pero now its working mabuti na lang, another thing is its weight kasi mabigat sya, sana included na rin yung kickstand, hands will be strain kung paglagi mo sya hawak. siguro yung sound na rin situated kasi yung speakers nya on the back.
strong points siguro ng omnipad is battery life, great processing power and price. eventhough wala syang out of the box experience its still worth the buy.
mrOrange says:
ask ko lang sir, have you tested the usb port, is it usb host wherein you can read data from a flash drive or external hard drive?
just played with a unit from compex Park Square but even they could not give me a straight answer with regars to the usb.
Starshadow Rivaulx says:
Looks nice, and price isn’t half bad either. Apple products are totally priced out of my reach, so while I know they are grand things (having owned an iBook G4 in the long ago), they will never factor in my personal product choices.
That said, I’ll be tracking reviews of this pretty thing. My netbook is a Neo, and works beautifully for me (even with WinXP, imagine that); while two of my phones are Samsungs that hardly ever leave my hands, so a Galaxy Tab is also a prime candidate.
Ah, product competition can be such a lovely thing. :)
raymund of brother toners says:
NEO is also aiming a market share for tablets.
Jam. says:
maybe they’ll be releasing an Android 3.0 Tablet.
Cathy De Guia says:
nice gadget.. but still waiting for the arrival of iPad 2.. let’s see which is better and more advanced.. wanna win an iPad?? maybe an iPad 2? youcan join the promo on a job site.. here: http://www.jobsdb.com.ph/PH/EN/StaticContentFullContainer/PromoJDB/index.html
i think many high technology gadgets will develop this year…
wilde says:
Nice info there Yuga.
Btw, would you know if a 7″ version eventually come out?
A 10″ tablet is too big/heavy.
jun says:
ok na yan in that price.. hmmmm.. wait wait mode paren.. tingnan naten pag release ng apple ipad2.. :) kaya peeps.. wait mode muna kayo.. marami release this year..
JunAlquis says:
diba local brand ang Neo?
richard says:
sir yuga.. ok ba yung specs? as in maganda na ba sha at mabilis? compared sa samsung pad at ipad ngayun? mas ok ba sha sa archos 101?
Erns says:
The tablet wars is now on Philippine shores..
Totem says:
Nice specs right there. But this would be overshadowed again since release of iPad 2 is just around the corner.
