Globe Telecom has released a new Android app for subscribers called Globe Switch. The app just came out in the Play Store about an hour ago and it aims to address the long-time request of subscribers for a real-time monitoring of mobile data usage.
The Switch app basically provides almost real-time monitoring of your mobile data usage (update to the hour) to allow you to manage your usage. While there are other data monitoring apps already available, the Switch app comes from Globe itself so it will also be the same reflected in your billing at the end end of the month.
This will be useful for those who have limited bandwidth allocation in their mobile subscription so they can monitor and control their usage. Switch also comes with a Control that sets the background activity of all apps in your mobile phone that connects to the internet. This means you can block internet access to each app running in the background and reduce your total bandwidth usage. This granular control not only applies to 3rd-party apps but also system processes.
There’s also an Offers section for additional perks you can sign up for but there’s nothing there at the moment.
For now, it’s just available from the Google Play Store (no iOS at this time) for everyone but the offers and discount can only be applied to Globe and TM prepaid subscribers.

what’s the use of launching a service with an Android only app? should have waited for iOS version to launch it.
Marhgil says:
Installed it on my phone. It is reporting mobile data usage even if I’m on WiFi and mobile data is OFF. Hindi ko pa naenable mobile data ko since installing it and I already used 45MB of FB? Buggy app.
How about you? Natest mo na ba ito?

Got this working for me. Just need to make sure that you are using Mobile data to be able to see allthe offers, including free ones. (Open to Prepaid and TM only for now)

Pretty much a Data Eye clone, without any promotional free offerings, so far. At least sa Data Eye may mga offers na for free mobile data access for certain apps, including for the hugely popular Clash of Clans.
