In 2025, Meta introduced several AI-powered features to Instagram. The 'Restyle' tool for Stories allows users to transform photos and videos using text prompts or preset effects, such as removing objects or applying artistic filters. Additionally, Meta rolled out an AI dubbing tool that translates Instagram Reels and Facebook videos into other languages (starting with English-Spanish), complete with voice-matching and lip-syncing to the original speaker.

Meta launched its first consumer-ready smart glasses with a built-in digital display, the Ray-Ban Display, priced at $799 (approx. ₱47,000). It also released updated Ray-Ban models with nearly double the battery life and an upgraded camera for $379. Furthermore, a v21 software update added features like 'Conversation Focus' to boost voices in noisy environments, Spotify integration for music suggestions based on vision, and new language support (Telugu and Kannada) for users in India.

Meta has added new safety features across WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram to protect older adults. On WhatsApp, users get a warning when attempting to share their screen with an unknown contact during a video call. Messenger uses AI to detect suspicious messages from new contacts and provides alerts and scam information. Across its apps, Meta also introduced a Passkey feature for more secure logins using biometrics or a PIN.
