Meta just launched Seller, a new app designed to help Facebook Marketplace users manage and grow their online business. On iOS in the US, this app uses Meta AI to kind of create product listings straight from photos. Meta says Seller is currently available on iOS in the US, while Android support is being tested and a web version is planned. Meta launches Facebook Verified, a new free badge designed to show that a Facebook account belongs to a real person. They just record a short selfie video and Meta compares it with the profile photos they already have to make sure it’s really them. Meta also says it will later be added to Feed posts, down the road. The European Commission has issued preliminary findings that Meta may have violated the Digital Services Act (DSA) over the allegedly addictive design of Facebook and Instagram. According to the Commission, Meta failed to properly assess the risks that several design features pose to users' physical and mental well-being, particularly minors and vulnerable adults.
