The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G, and the Galaxy A14 (4G and 5G variants) were among the top 10 shipped smartphones worldwide in 2021, Canalys reveals.
According to the report, the Galaxy A14 LTE sold over 21 million units, ranking sixth in the list.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A54 5G, despite sporting a fairly hated Exynos chip, ranked eighth with 20 million units sold. And ranking at ninth is the Galaxy A14 5G, with just shy of 19 million units shipped.

Apple dominated the list, with the iPhone 14 Pro Max topping it at over 34 million shipments, followed closely by the iPhone 15 Pro Max at 33 million.
“It marked the first year where [an] iPhone Pro model topped the annual ranking of most shipped smartphone models, reflecting the market’s premium shift,” Canalys explained.

In another report by Canalys, worldwide smartphone shipments grew 8% year-on-year in Q4 2023, ending the seven consecutive quarters of decline.
For the first time, Apple overtook Samsung as the top vendor in terms of 2023 shipments, leading the market with a 24% share, followed by Samsung at 17%. Xiaomi comes third at 13%, Transsion at 9%, and vivo completes the top five with a 7% market share.
