Nintendo 2DS now available in the Philippines

The Nintendo 2DS was announced 2 months ago as the company’s alternative product to the 3DS, as it offers everything that the 3DS offers except that it goes in a different form factor, it lacks 3D and it’s said that it will go around for $130.

Coming along with Pokemon X & Y, the new handheld gaming device is now available in stores around the Philippines. However, it’s going around the retail price of Php6,995. That’s still lower than the price of the 3DS & the 3DS XL, however if 3D functionality doesn’t appeal that much to you, then you’ll probably better off with the 2DS.

  1. add 1-2k and you have a 3ds. masyadong mahal ang dumbed down version na to…

  2. Bought the 3DS at 10000, I feel like ripped off

  3. 7k is just SRP. It might even be much less in places like Greenhills!

  4. The fact is that it has its purpose. Some people feel bad because it has no 3D, and they think they’re getting less. This is made with kids under 7 years old in mind. I still wish it’s a least a thousand peso less.

  5. damimg nagrereklamo sa 3ds .. they felt nauseated daw after maglaro ng unit.

  6. So the 3DS it “not” recommended for kids? sayang naman, perfect panregalo pa man din sana ito sa mga bata kung sakaling walang nararamdamang “side effect” sa paggamit neto

    • its not that naman. I have used it na. Yes, minsan parng masakit sya sa ulo. That’s when the 3d feature is turned on. May certain angle lang kase to view it. I mean very limited viewing angle. A degree more to the left or right, you’ll experience double vision agad. But in 2D, everything’s just fine. :)

  7. lahat ng system launch (be it just a revision or otherwise) ay mahal ang price sa umpisa. expect the price of 2ds to go down in a month or so closer to the peso equivalent of 129 usd.

  8. A couple of hundreds more and you get a 3DS (7.5-8k).

  9. I’m not sure why but this weblog is loading very slow for me.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it a issue on my end?
I’ll check back later oon and see if thhe problem still
    exists.
