Anker Power Products Hands-on

Anker recently sent us a bunch of charging products which includes a power bank, two wall chargers, and three charging cables. Let’s take these for a quick spin to see what they have to offer.

Here are the devices we’re going to look into:
• Anker PowerCore II Slim 10000
• Anker PowerPort Speed PD 5
• Anker PowerCore Fusion 5000
• Anker PowerLine+ USB-C
• Anker PowerLine+ Micro USB
• Anker PowerLine+ Lightning

First up we have the PowerCore II Slim 10000. As the name suggests, it is a slim power bank with a 10,000mAh battery capacity. It’s got a high-quality plastic body with a matte finish on the front and rubberized back. It has LED indicators for the battery level, a power switch, a USB-A output with Power IQ, and micro USB with Quick Charge input.

Anker says that the PowerCore II Slim 10000 can charge the iPhone 7 3.4 times, the iPhone 7 2.3 times, and the Samsung Galaxy S7 for 2.2 times. It is currently priced at PHP 2,595.

Next is the PowerPort Speed PD 5 which is good for those who need to charge up to 5 devices at the same time from a single power outlet. This is a 60W 5-Port Desktop Charger with One 30W Power Delivery Port that is capable of charging an Apple MacBook and other USB-C devices. The other 4 ports are equipped with Anker’s PowerIQ smart technology that can pump out a combined 30W of charging power for other devices.

As for its other features, it has an LED Status Light, and an 11-point safety suite to protect you and your devices from voltage problems and short-circuits. This one is priced at PHP 2,246.25 3,195.

If you’re looking for something smaller than the PowerPort Speed PD 5, then you might want to look at the PowerCore Fusion 5000. It has a foldable plug and two USB-A ports so you can charge two devices at the same time with its PowerIQ and VoltageBoost technologies.

That’s not all though, as this device also functions as a power bank with a 5,000mAh capacity. So if you’re at home just plug it to a wall socket, then when you’re done charging, just pull it out and take it with you. The Fusion 5000 is priced at PHP 1,895.

Good chargers are only half the story as you also need equally good cables to deliver power to your devices. In this case, Anker offers three PowerLine+ cables depending on your device: PowerLine+ USB-C, PowerLine+ Micro USB, and PowerLine+ Lightning.

All three cables support high-speed charging and boast a durable design. The cables sport reinforced connectors to withstand bending and splitting, and tangle-proof double-braided nylon. It even comes with a premium-looking felt case to keep the cable organized.

The PowerLine+ USB-C is priced at PHP 671.25 895, the PowerLine+ Micro USB at PHP 695, and the PowerLine+ Lightning at PHP 1,195.

And that sums up for our quick hands-on of Anker’s charging products. If you have questions, let us know in the comments below.
