Sony has announced a new accessory that lets it easier for content creators to do vlogs or travel photography/videography, the Sony GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip.
As the name suggests, the GP-VPT2BT is wireless and connects to your device via Bluetooth. Buttons are built into the grip so you can easily control its functions. The new grip includes a tilt feature that allows for flexible vertical angle adjustment as well as the ability to switch from normal to self-shooting mode.
Other features include an adjustment wheel that can be loosened or tightened for better operation with cameras of different sizes and weights, a flip button, indicator light, and a lock switch. Users can also use it as a tripod by expanding the bottom portion, and it’s also dust and moisture resistant.
The Sony GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip is compatible with the Alpha 9 II, Alpha 9, Alpha 7R IV, Alpha 7R III, Alpha 7 III, Alpha 6600, Alpha 6400, Alpha 6100, RX100 VII, and RX0 II cameras.
The GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip will soon be available in the Philippines. The pricing is yet to be announced.
