Rumors of a bigger iPad have been going on since last year and has since been considered to be named as the iPad Pro. However, a recent development in the rumor mill suggests that bigger slate may go under the name of iPad Plus, which follows the naming scheme that Apple implemented on their new smartphones.
The new name isn’t the only thing that the rumor mill has recently churned out. The source claims that the iPad Plus will have a thin and lightweight body which only measures 7mm on the sides and tips the scale at 700 grams.
The front of the device is believed to be predominantly occupied by a 12.9-inch display with 2K resolution. Powering the iPad Plus’ sizeable display will be the delegated to the tablet’s 11,000mAh battery pack.
Will we finally see a bigger iPad this year? If so, will Apple users appreciate the added screen real estate of the iPad Plus? Hit the comments section below and let us know what you think about the rumored tablet.

apple really? is that all you can think about? smaller this, bigger that, retina this, retina that..where are the innovations? where is the genius coming out of it? I think apple is doomed without Jobs. All they think about nowadays is how to get more money out of you. Bad Apple. tsk tsk
Sad but true. That redesign of iOS is the beginning of the fall.
My iPad Air screen size is okay with me. It’s light and easy to hold with both hands or just by one hand. The weight and how you can hold you slate is very crucial to every user. For me, iPad Plus will not be comfortable to hold with given the screen size the author has discussed.
