Hands-on: Jabra Speak 710

Being the latest member of the Speak series, the Jabra Speak 710 is a portable sound system that is both designed for professional and personal use. Now, let’s see what it has to offer.

Just by simply looking at the design of the new Jabra Speak 710, we can say that it stays true to its claim. Weighing only 298 grams, its lightweight design makes it perfect for people who are always on-the-go.

It also comes with a protective travel pouch so you won’t have to worry about scratches while traveling with it. What also captures our attention is its capacitive buttons and its metal speaker grille, which we think is what gives it a premium and sophisticated look.

On its back, you will see a fold-out stand and a USB dongle. Since this is a plug and play device, you don’t have to perform any tedious installations anymore. It supports Bluetooth connectivity as well.  Also, it features a 1 meter captive USB connect/charging cable wrapped around the outer edge.

Enough with the facade, let’s talk about real deal: the audio and voice quality. The sound is, as expected, impressive. When we tried to play a song at maximum level, the sound remained clear and ungarbled. Apart from that, it takes calls and it also features an Omni-directional microphone and HD voice, which allows 6 people to talk at the same time (suited for conference calls).

The Jabra Speak 710 is priced at $299 and is available for enterprise customers.
