We mentioned in our realme Smart TV hands-on that realme PH is also offering the realme 100W Bluetooth Soundbar to improve the audio experience when you’re watching from the Smart TV. Is this a worthy addition to your entertainment system? Find out in our hands-on below.
The realme 100W Bluetooth Soundbar comes in two parts: the soundbar and the subwoofer. The package comes with a remote, power adapter, coaxial cable, HDMI cable, and wall mount kit.
The soundbar looks just like any soundbar in the market. It’s long and has a cylindrical form-factor, and is mostly made of plastic. It comes with a matte finish to repel fingerprints. On the other hand, the subwoofer looks like a compact PC case and has the same matte treatment.
The soundbar features buttons at the top for the power, menu, playback, and volume. The buttons are plastic and clicky and feel cheap. It has rubber pads at the bottom for when you place it on a console table.
At the back, we have the ports for the optical port, coax, ARC, AUX, subwoofer, USB-A, and power. Setup is pretty much straight-forward. Just plug it into the power source, connect the subwoofer to the soundbar, and switch it on.
LED lights inside the soundbar will activate to let you know that it is on. It also gives you voice prompts when you turn it on/off, turn on Bluetooth, or switch between sound profiles or audio sources. It’s annoying sometimes, but you’ll get used to it eventually.
We tested the realme Soundbar with the realme Smart TV, and we can definitely say that it significantly improves the audio experience. The remote features three buttons for Movie, Music, and News, and we can easily switch between those profiles to match the content we’re consuming.
The sound quality is excellent as it has a wide stereo sound. It’s crisp and clear and doesn’t distort at higher volumes. The bass is also powerful enough to provide you with that deep rumbling during action scenes or when playing bassy tracks. You can actually spend a good time using this as your Bluetooth speaker for your smartphone or tablet.
The realme Soundbar is priced at PHP 5,990. Compared to big audio brands, that’s affordable. So, if you need a good soundbar for your current TV or your realme Smart TV, make sure to consider this one as well.
