Some of the Fastest Cars You Can Drive on EDSA

EDSA is notorious for its traffic that gets you stuck for hours, buses that stop pretty much anywhere to pick up passengers, and motor bikes that swerve from lane to lane. These are some of the reasons why a sports/luxury car isn’t much of a wise decision if your daily route involves passing through the Philippines’ biggest parking lot. But if the road is clean and without any traffic (during late night drives or when Pacquiao has a fight), these are some of the fastest cars you can drive on EDSA or any open highway for that matter.

The cars here are all available here in the Philippines, although some still need to be ordered. They were also filtered by their manufacturer-claimed top speed.

Bakit lagi ko na lang nababasang comment about sa Davao? Ang article about sa Edsa hindi sa Davao! Dun na nga kayo sa probinsya nyo!

Why you keep on hearing Davao? Because we follow rules here not by fear but because of discipline. What I said is “Try” it in Davao. Probinsya? Racism do exist with fellow Filipinos…

I don’t think there’s a length of road in EDSA or anywhere in the Philippines straight enough, clear enough, pothole-free enough, and conversely project-free enough (thanks DPWH!) to reach these kinds of speeds.

The most possible one that I can think of and had personally traversed would be SCTEX. That road was gloriously scenic and tempts you floor the accelerator, but I doubt you’d reach 300 km/h without crashing to a fiery death.
