HTC 7 Trophy in the flesh!

So we finally got some hands-on time with the HTC 7 Trophy, one of the Windows 7 Phone handsets by HTC to be released this December. See photos and video after the jump.

The HTC 7 Trophy comes in a 3.8″ display, 1GHz CPU, 8GB nternal storage, 576MB RAM, 512MB ROM, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, 3G/HSDPA and 5MP camera.

Below, the HTC 7 Trophy beside the HTC Desire. At the moment, all I can say is that I’m impressed. The interface is really Zune-y but there are a lot of little surprises here and there. There’s great attention to detail and a whole lot of eye-candy as well.

Here’s a YouTube clip of how the UI of Windows Phone 7 looks like:

The unit is not mine. It’s owned by MB TechNews which was lent to TJ Manotoc. For full review, watch out for it on Manila Bulletin this Monday. I’m still on the fence if I should get one myself when I go to Singapore next week.

  1. A whole new user interface design, that’s innovation from Microsoft, Android was a copy-cat. go micro$oft..

  2. @yuga, will you let us know how much is it gonna be in singapore?

  3. any idea what the srp will be? drool! 1gz will make mobile dev’t fun!

  4. i want this.

‘been holding out for so long w/ android, i’ve finally decided that i’m skipping it and will go w/ WP7 all the way!

    hope its not too pricey!

  5. i LOVE it!

  6. OMG i want a windows phone really badly! I’m ditching my nexus one. I hope it will be available in the gray market this month. Any idea on pricing here in the philippines re this phone or other windows phones?

  7. What are the reasons why you’ll prefer a W7 Phone vs and Android? (Both High end)
    thanks! :)

  8. One thing i dont like about android is fragmentation. Recieving Updates are also below average. Havibg a nexus one, i already got froyo when it was released. And it is only now that the galaxy s phones are recieving it, while the x10 will never get it, maybe.
What i like about wp7, xbox live is the main selling point for me. Then MS office, minimal fragmentation, interface is not a copy of ios, etc

  9. nice indeed!

  10. is it true that Windows 7 for mobiles isn’t equipped to handle multitasking? And is it a dealbreaker? @YuYu I hear you, I’ve been holding off buying an Android for so long that I’m having trouble deciding between this and Android now that this phone is on the horizon.

@sir Yuga I know it’s been done to death but I’m sure some of us are looking for a perspective closer to home: How about a Windows 7 phone vs. Android 2.2 vs. IOS 4 showdown? Thanks!
