AOC launches new 22″ LCDs and an HDTV

AOC today announced a new line of LCD monitors as well as its entry into the LCD TV market. Four new models of widescreen LCD monitors with 19″ and 22″ screens as well as a 22″ full HD 1080p LCD TV.

First in line is the AOC Toriba, the 19″ and 22″ widescreen LCDs. These entry-level monitors has a contrast ratio of 10k and 8K as well as 2ms and 5ms response time, respectively.

Next is the AOC Avio — 22″ widescreen, built-in webcam and mic, 3 USB ports, a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and a 5ms response time.

Next is the AOC Zifas, an Apple iMac-inspired LCD monitor that’s only 28mm thick and made of Aluminum-Zinc alloy. The Zifas Xinrui model has a 12,000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms response time. The screen can do 90 degrees clockwise rotation with 360 degrees level rotation.

Then there’s the AOC Rivio which is also a 22″ LCD monitor that has a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, VGA/DVI/HDMI ports as well as 2 USB ports and a built-in digital media player (can read MS, SD, XD, RS-MMC cards). The DMP Engine can play any media stored into any USB device plugged into the monitor. The Rivio comes with a remote control as well.

The LCD HDTV is AOC’s first dibs into the lucrative TV market. The AOC Tiboli is a 22-inch full HD TV with 1920x1080p resolution, a built-in HDTV tuner and virtual surround sound.

AOC executives were not able to provide pricing information during a press launch held at the Teatrino, GreenHills Promenade. But, considering that AOC has always been projecting an affordable brand (especially the monitor line), these LCDs should be priced quite competitively. Units will soon hit the shelves of SM Appliance stores.

  1. I hope they’ll offer it at VERY reasonable price….

  2. I was invited to attend the launch too, but school has kept me from doing so.

The new offers are interesting, and since AOC offers quite attractive prices, perhaps I get one instead of something from LG.
