My brother and I had dinner at Marc’s bachelor pad the other night where he introduced me to his brand new Samsung 32-inch HDTV and an X-Box 360. He jokingly adds “there goes the seo contest prize money!“.
The HDTV was a real beauty and I was actually dreaming of one lately. If by any chance any of you have recently visited Abensons, you would have noticed the Samsung sale. Looks like there are newer models to come our way this coming holiday — what with the hard-to-ignore sale on HDTVs?
Here’s the big winner:
If you buy a 32″ Samsung Slim-Fit HDTV, you’d get 29″ Flat-screen TV for free along with a wall-mount rack plus a 2GB Samsung Yepp MP3 player. All for a low, low price of only Php78,000 which can be had at zero percent (0%) interest for 12 months! But wait, there’s more! You can get a 5.1 surround sound speaker system and DVD player for an additional Php5,000 only. But, there’s still more — if you pay in cash, you get a Php10,000 discount.
(Ever heard of that Home TV Shopping spiel? *hehehe*)
So there you go, the entire set is about Php73k all in all. Not a bad deal, huh? As long as you have the cash.
Ok, I’ll stop here before I forget I also want an N73.

sorry, i’m not familiar with the latest brands in Pinas…but here in japan, AQUOS by Sharp is the leading brand when it comes to LCD flat panel TVs. the 37″full-spec hi-vision LCD TV costs about P100-120k, though. but in my opinion, if you’re intent on owning one, don’t just settle for 32″ – go for 37″! ;-)

There has been news in INQ7 about the NTC licensing digital TV stations and disallowing new analog registrations.
I doubt if the our local broadcasters would make the big investment in going HD, and would probably stick to standard definition.
Of course I’m sure they want to stick to analog if they can!

I just can’t imagine watching those telenovelas in HD. hehehehe =)

Can’t take my eyes on the 32″ Sony Bravia LCD TV… it cost P72K here in Saudi Arabia. I’m still waiting for a few months for the price to go down. Pasalubong for my movie-addict family and for myself too! Sana may pambili pa.. hehe..
