The Philippine Center for Investigative Jourlism (PCIJ) will be hosting a blog conference this Saturday, October 22. The time and venue hasn’t yet been finalized yet but initial feedback indicated that it will be held at the Century Imperial Suites, Tomas Morato Circle, Quezon City Function Rooms 1 and 2 of the Linden Suites along San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
I was asked to be one of the speakers of the said conference where I will discuss more about blogging techniques and the like. This conference is aimed primarily for journalists and mediamen who are bloggers themselves or are interested in blogging. Not sure though if this is open to the general blogging public as well.
Been having correspondences with Ricky Carandang, Jove Francisco and Manolo Quezon for quite some time now but haven’t really met them in person (I setup/maintained/migrated all their blogs). I guess this is a good time to finally meet them face to face. :)
Check out the post by Alecks Pabico here for full details of the event.
Schedule posted here. The BlogCon is just for MSM though.

Hi Polo,
Sure thing! Email me the details at abeolandres {at} gmail {dot} com.
=)
Polo says:
Sir,
Is there a possibility that you can repeat the same blog conference but this time it is catered to non-mainstream journalists and mediamen? Thanks.
Abe Olandres says:
@ DJB
How nice of you to pass by. Welcome back to the blogosphere! :)
@ rastamad
How about a cup of coffee?
rastamad says:
You both owe me one. :-)
DJB says:
Max Limpag and Yuga under one roof! WOW! Wish i could be there to make ur acquaintance and talk blogs. But am gonna be up in the boondocks (baguio) and will miss the conference…a wedding of mugg, err, non-bloggers…but i get to buy a ton of mountain baraco coffee dirt cheap, which i’ll happily share…the internet cafe scene up there is intense, the igorots love all this stuff and a large korean community has a strangely cryptic version of windows running all up and down session road, in many a suq and cranny. P15/hr dsl service is common.
My salute to the ubertechs! see you both ’round the river bend…
Abe Olandres says:
See yah there Max! :)
Max Limpag says:
Yuga,
Now we can see each other in person. :-)
