Or is it “cooking your eggs in one server”? hehehe
Since last night, the new server that I recently moved into was acting kinda weird and even though the load was almost zero (just ~10% or so), it went down twice. The second time, I suspected that the memory modules could have been defective which caused the freeze.
Since it was a Sunday night where traffic is at its weekly low, I decided to have the server checked-up and the hardwares tested for any defects. The whole thing got too long and the delay to have it back up again caused a huge drop in ad revenues for the day. Not that I’m getting all-time high figures like last December but this one probably pushed my figures back to the stone age.
Anyway, what’s done is done and one cannot expect 100% uptime. Before, I used to scatter all my blog properties to 3 or 4 separate servers so if one went down, I still have the majority running and getting traffic. Now that they’re all in this one server, I really have to watch it more carefully.
Somehow, there’s supposed to be a lesson to be learned here. :D
thought you already learned your lessons hehehe
muntik na maging lesion yung lesson hahahaha
Hard when it’s a hosted solution.
test the server first?
