Just got an email today from Al McCaw inviting me to attend and observe his interview with Inq7.net tomorrow, September 12, 2006 about this issue between him and Gail of Kutitots.com. The email was quite long and asked me to be fair and hear both sides of the story. I cannot publish the email in its entirety as requested by Al himself for reasons of privacy.
In summary he requested that as a (respected and prominent Filipino) blogger, it is my duty to report both sides of the issue and be fair between the parties involve.
As I have reported the incident here on my blog, I am inclined to attend this interview and report my observations as well. I hope my schedule permits this.
More on this tomorrow…

Hi there
Your write-up The Gail vs. Al McCaw Interview | YugaTech | Philippines, Tech News & Reviews is good and thought
provoking, I must return often in order to check all your articles.
Abe Olandres says:
Both parties failed to reach an agreement. Al McCaw expressed his option to file a law suit but never followed it thru. The site in question was pulled down and replaced by another design.

Hi suddenserenity,
I posted a similar message to this blog http://kutitots.com/?p=304
It seems that the story was fashioned on a one way street, no looking back.
We need to know what happened with this story, else, people behind this story are just making us believe this is just a cover up story on what really went behind this deal with Al and Gail because it ended up nowhere, not even furnishing us with the complete story.
“There something wrong about this story, we dont know what really happen and imho we’re in a position to demand for transparency.”
There really is something wrong, I start to believe now this is nothing but a charade to bring down one person due to somebody else’s unprofessionalism.
By the way Yuga & Erwin Oliva, is Gail your friend?
Please make us believe this is not what it looks like now.

I have read this story year ago on our local developer forum but I lost track. After reading Kiyosaki’s book, I decided to search for another book, by then I remember this issue.
There something wrong about this story, we dont know what really happen and imho we’re in a position to demand for transparency.
RE: Erwin Oliva, he is the tech journalist who scavenge stories on blogs and forums without deeper research. One time he quoted the story of “Windows Bintana” from http://msforums.ph.
What’s the real story behind the silence? :)

Bitin! Yuga, anong nangyari sa interview???
markku says:
It is not your duty to take his word for what it is, since he chooses to hide it under the guise of privacy. He asks you to be fair but you can’t tell others what he told you? That’s pretty ironic.
I am not passing judgement on their issue but there should be some level of transparency regarding their conflict.
Marc says:
Hopefully, and most likely, PDI will be interviewing Gail as well to hear both sides. In this way, the public can know the whole truth. Let’s all be observant…
ralphot says:
hahaha, yugs. all i can say is: WHEW!
noemi says:
do you really have to go? does Gail have to go too? why can’t they settle this privately with their lawyers without having to go through an interview?
Andrew says:
This is yet another case of the bully contacting PDI to write an article about him to make him look good and consequently make his victim look bad. If you want this interview to be as fair and transparent as possible, have Gail come with you. Otherwise, this will just be another one-sided agenda. I knew this was going to happen. Let me guess, Erwin Oliva’s doing this interview right?
textmates says:
I’ve been following this since last week. now, it’s time to hear the other side of the story.
