How to view and pay your Meralco bill online

Although we’re in a community quarantine, we still need to pay our bills. However, your usual paper bill won’t arrive in the mail, given the situation So, how do you view your Meralco bill and pay for it online? Let us show you how.

You can either do this through the website online.meralco.com.ph 78 or the Meralco mobile app. But for this guide, we’re going to use the former.

First, you need to create an account by clicking on Sign up. Enter your email, first name, middle name, last name, mobile number, and Service ID Number.

If you already have an existing Meralco bill, enter the total kWh reading and bill date from any of your previous bills for the past 2 months.

If you haven’t received your first Meralco bill, enter the Bill Deposit and Payment date found on your bill deposit receipt.

After submitting your registration, you will receive an email for confirmation with a link that will redirect you to the Meralco online website where you will set your password. Once your password is set, you can now log in to your account.

From here, you can now view your Meralco Account Number, as well as the current total amount due.

To pay for your Meralco bill, just follow these steps:

Step 1. Log in to your Meralco Online Account on www.meralco.com.ph and on the dashboard click “Pay Bills”.
Step 2. Review bill summary for all unpaid bills/services and select bill/service for payment.
Step 3. Choose your payment method (credit card, debit card, or prepaid card: i.e. PayMaya, SmartMoney or GCash). Input your payment credentials and click on “Next”.
Step 4. Review the summary of your payment and click on the Submit button.

Note that there’s a convenience fee of PHP 47USD 0.80INR 68EUR 0.76CNY 6 when you pay via credit card. We’re not sure if it’s applied in other payment methods.

You will be then redirected to the payment partner’s pages. Once completed, an acknowledgment message will appear to confirm your transaction. You will also receive a notification via e-mail as proof of your payment.

Do note that Meralco is providing a 30-day payment extension from your due date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But if you need to pay your Meralco bill without going out of the house, you can use this as an option.
