List of companies offering bill extensions due to COVID-19

With the quarantine currently in effect because of the coronavirus, government institutions, as well as private ones, are giving their customers a 30-day or 60-day grace period for the monthly due date of their bills. So in this article, we will be listing all the companies that are implementing this program.

Electric Utility

  1. Meralco – bills due from March 1 to April 14, 2020 will have a 30-day payment extension

Water Utility

  1. Maynilad Water Services – bills due from March 15 to April 14, 2020 will have a 30-day payment extension
  2. PrimeWater – bills due from March 17 to 31, 2020, will have a 30-day payment extension

Cable/Internet

  1. PLDT Home – extended for 30 days from the due date
  2. Globe Broadband – extended for 30 days from the due date
  3. SKYcable – extended for 30 days from the due date
  4. Cignal – extended for 30 days from the due date
  5. Converge ICT – extended for 30 days from the due date
  6. Royal Cable – already started its 30-day extension on March 10

Telecoms

  1. Globe Postpaid – extended for 30 days from the due date
  2. Smart Postpaid – extended for 30 days from the due date
  3. Sun Cellular Postpaid – extended for 30 days from the due date
  4. Eastern Telecommunications – extended for 30 days from the due date

Banks

Note: 

  1. Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) – (Credit Card, Home, Auto, SME, and BanKo Negosyo Loans) – extended for 30 days from the due date. The bank will only waive late fees and not interest charges.
  2. Banco de Oro (BDO) (Credit Card, Auto, Home, SME, and Personal Loans) – 60-day payment extension for qualified customers with due dates of up to April 15, 2020.
  3. UnionBank (Credit Card, Housing Loan, Auto Loan, and Quick Loans) – customers in good standing and with due dates from March 17 to April 15, 2020
  4. Metrobank (Credit Card, Car, and Home Loans) – customers with good credit standing and with due dates from March 16 to April 15, 2020, will be notified via email with the full details if they are eligible for the 30-day extension program.
  5. Security Bank (Credit Card, Home, Personal, Auto, Business Mortgage, or Business Express Loans) – payment status is current (with no past-due balance) as of March 16, 2020. Bills due from March 16 to April 14, 2020 will have a 30-day payment extension.
  6. Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) (Auto, Home, Personal, and Salary Loans) – customers in good standing with due dates from March 15 to April 15, 2020, can delay payments by 30 days from the original due date. You may still choose to settle your amortizations on your original due dates.  The bank will only waive late fees and not interest charges.
  7. Philippine National Bank (PNB) (Credit Card) – customers in good standing (without late fees) and with due dates from March 18 to April 15, 2020. It will also be waiving all transaction fees for InstaPay and PesoNet until April 15, 2020.
  8. EastWest (Credit Card, Auto, Personal, Mortgage, and EEL Loans) – customers will receive an email or SMS if they are qualified for the 30-day extension program.
  9. CitiBank (Credit Card) – customers in good standing get a one-month extension on their due date which falls from March 16 to April 12, 2020.
  10. The bank will only waive late fees and not interest charges.
  11. Asia United Bank (AUB) (Credit Card, Housing, Motor Vehicle, Personal, Salary, and Seafarer Loans) –  Customers with multiple loans will likewise have a 30 day grace period for every loan. For credit cardholders, a 30 day grace period will also be in place and like the loan borrower, can be availed of in the next 12 months (ends March 31, 2021).
  12. MayBank (Credit Card, Auto, Mortgage, Personal, and Salary Loans) – customers whose due dates fall between March 12 to April 15, 2020, and who are in good standing are qualified for the 30-day grace period ((i.e. no outstanding missed payments as of March 11, 2020).

Loans

  1. Home Credit – customers just have to fill in the COVID-19 form here for a payment extension.
