Nokia has announced plans to change its brand identity after almost 60 years in the business.
Nokia’s President & CEO Pekka Lundmark told Reuters that “There was the association to smartphones and nowadays we are a business technology company,”
They also stated that Lundmark set out the company’s strategy with three stages: reset, accelerate, and scale.
Currently, they are at the beginning of the second stage having recently completed the reset stage.
The first part of its accelerate stage being the inception of the company’s new logo.
The new logo sees the word “NOKIA” in a much more modern and minimalistic design.Gone also is the iconic blue-colored logo that is now substituted with white to help it blend seamlessly with a wider range of colors.
This marks a shift of Nokia from being a service provider business by supplying equipment to telecom companies to now selling gear to other businesses.
Nokia’s primary focus is also now on “networks and industrial digitalization”, according to Bloomberg.
We are updating our strategy, and, as a key enabler, we are also refreshing our brand to reflect who we are today: a business to business technology innovation leader pioneering the future where networks meet cloud. — Pekka Lundmark, Nokia President & CEO
They’ve also already updated their website nokia.com to suit their newly rebranded look and direction.

If they can produce bang for the buck models with some nice designs as they used to be with their N and E series way back, ill bet they will slowly become as one of the top sellers, specially around 8-12k price range..
