Nikon announced their newest compact digital camera today called COOLPIX P1000 which sports a 125x NIKKOR lens and support for super-telephoto shots.
The unique feat of the COOLPIX P1000 is the 125x lens with a focal length that ranges from 24mm-3000mm. Other features include an XGA OLED viewfinder, Dual Optical VR for image stabilization that is said to achieve a 5.0-stop increase in shutter speed, a capability of shooting 4k videos at 30fps, 3.2-inch TFT LCD vari-angle monitor, compatibility for NRW (RAW) file format, ability to record super lapse and time-lapse movies, and SnapBridge support for transferring of photos/videos to various smart devices.

body looks slr to me, so as the price. yet they call it compact. if you can put that inside your pocket, i’ll believe you.
