SJCAM has done it again with the newest addition to their line-up of action cameras, the SJ7 Star.
The SJ7 Star is their new flag ship action camera, featuring native 4K Video recording @ 30 fps. Retailing for Php 8,248, it is certainly a lot of camera for the price. Here are our first impressions.
Inside the hard box is the unit itself, which comes included with a lot accessories:
The SJ7 Star’s design has a lot in common with most GoPro cameras, mostly due to its rectangular shape. It boasts a 2″ LCD touchscreen display at the back which is super smooth to use. The SJ7 Star is entirely made out of aluminum save for the front side of the camera, which has a smooth rubbery finish. It makes the camera feel very tough, expensive and built with high-quality standards. The buttons on the SJ7 Star have a rubbery texture to it, making them easy to find in no-light situations. The SJ7 Star comes in 3 colors: silver, black and golden rose.
At the front of the action camera, we have the power button, settings button, 2 LED light indicators, and of course, the 166° field of view camera lens that has native 4k 30fps video recording. Up top, we have a single record/capture button.
Turning the action camera to the side we have the micro-USB port, micro HDMI port, and the microSD port.
Looking down at the bottom, we find the battery door and the 1000mAh removable battery.
Lastly, at the back of the camera is the 2″ LCD touchscreen display.
We will be testing out the action camera and all of its features soon. Keep an eye out for our full review.
The SJCAM SJ7 Star is now available at Lazada for Php 8,248 (as of August 14, 2017). See listing here.
