Have you guys heard of the Canon EOS RP? Want to figure out if it’s the next camera for you? Well, we got invited to the unveiling of Canon’s latest full-frame mirrorless camera, the EOS RP, go on and check-out our quick Hands-On!
The EOS RP is the second camera in Canon’s EOS R lineup and it features a 26.2MP sensor powered by the DIGIC 8 image processor. It’s capable of capturing 5 frames per second in the hi-speed continuous shooting mode, an ISO range of 100-40000 for photo, and it also has a Dual Pixel CMOS AF system with 4779 autofocus points.
If you are someone thinking of purchasing the EOS RP, you need to know that for video you only get 24fps for 4K video recording. And only 30 and 60fps option for Full HD and HD. Auto focus on 1080p is absolutely amazing though, so here’s to hoping they add that 24p through maybe a firmware update in the future.
When it comes to shooting stills, the EOS RP is no slouch, with the same CMOS sensor as the 6D Mark II, but even better low light performance! Battery life could be better though.
The Canon EOS RP’s body is priced at PHP 89,998 while the camera with a RF 24-105mm IS lens will retail at PHP 156,998. Consumers who will pre-order the device from March 11 to 25 will get the following:
- RF-EF mount adapter
- 128GB SD Card
- Additional LP-E17 battery
- Classic M Bag
- EOS-R Notebook
