Mazda has stepped up their game with the recent launching of the much-awaited all-new Mazda 3. Consisting of 5 variants, the new model has further pushed Mazda’s transition into a more premium brand. How exactly? Let’s get into it!

The base models, an Elite sedan and hatchback, are powered by a 1.5-liter Skyactiv-G petrol engine, which is a carry-over from the previous generation. This engine produces 111 hp and 146 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. These variants feature 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, LED taillights, cruise control, an 8.8-inch Mazda Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto head unit, 8-speaker sound system, 7 airbags, and cameras and sensors all around. The Elite sedan, in particular, is equipped with a Cloth interior while the Elite hatch has a leatherette interior.

An upgrade to the Elite variant is the Premium, which boasts the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G petrol engine that produces 155 hp and 200 Nm of torque mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels.

You get everything that the Elite variant has, but with an addition of 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, a full leather interior, and power adjustable seats. You also get a 360-degree view camera and Mazda’s i-ATIVSENSE which is Mazda’s version of adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane assist, blind-spot monitoring and a lot of other safety features.

Having looked at the Elite and Premium, the variant that’s bound to turn heads in the Mazda 3 Speed.
