Auto Nation Group, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz in the Philippines, has launched the new A-Class hatchback, with a new design and plenty of features.
The 4th-generation A-Class sports a new design like the shark nose-like look on the front, low bonnet, flat LED headlamps with chrome elements, torch-like daytime driving lamps, and turbine-look air-vents.
Inside is a luxurious interior that comes with a 10.25-inch high-resolution widescreen cockpit with touchscreen control and Touch-Control buttons in the steering wheel. It’s coolest feature though is the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) which is a virtual assistant that can be activated by pressing a button in the steering wheel or by simply saying, “Hey Mercedes”.
The MBUX can accept voice commands to control infotainment functions such as destination input, music selection, climate control, and ambient lighting. Other features include 64-colors ambient lighting, Active Break Assist, Active Parking Assist with Parktronic and rearview camera, Smartphone Integration, multifunction steering wheel, and 7 airbags.
Running under the hood of the new A-Class is a 1.3L 7-speed DCT engine with 163hp and 250Nm of torque for the A200 Edition 1 and A200 Progressive, and 136hp and 200Nm of torque for the A180 Progressive. Check out the pricing below:
• A200 Edition 1 – PHP 3.290M
• A200 Progressive – PHP 2.990M
• A180 Progressive – PHP 2.490M
All Mercedes-Benz dealerships nationwide (EDSA Greenhills, Alabang, BGC and Cebu) will start accepting pre-orders and reservations on November 23.
